We are often asked, "What should I buy to start playing the game?" Here's the best answer so far:
Well, first of all, you have to have starters. They are the only way to get terrains and dragons which are required to play the game. Buy one of the english starters, and then save yourself some $$$ by buying the spanish starters. You only need one set of army cards and the rule books in both are old. You'll get the same dice in either. BTW, be sure to download and print the rules from the website. They are the newest rules and the rules used in all tournaments.
After that, you really have enough to play the game, but the kickers make the game more interesting. Each race has it's own strengths and weaknesses, and by using more than one race you can get the strengths, and minimize the weaknesses. Which kicker race? Well, it's really all about the same, they are well-balanced enough that any race can win a game. You need to find which fits your style of play.
I'm sure your next question would be how much to get? It turns out that a case of starters (12) or kickers (also 12) is a nice number. It gives you enough dice to get a little of everything so you can experiment with just about any army construction you want. We also have discounts on cases, you pay for 11, but get 12.
Need other idea? Check out our forum. Read thru it to find answers to common questions, and post to it for questions that haven't been asked. I'm sure you'll find it's a great bunch of people that want to help out. |

Now that the 2-player starters are out, those are the starters to get. Note that they come in cases of 10, but you still get a discount by ordering a full case. Since there are three different 2-player starters (there will be a fourth coming out soon), get a case of each to really round out your armies. _________________ You can never have too many dice.
