Now that you acquired Demon/Chaos progenitus dice, any future plans for acquiring Marvel superdice or Star trek next gen dice or even Dicemaster?
We all know how fragile a "house of cards" is, maybe a "house of dice" would be a bit more stable... _________________ "Another days useless energy spent." Moody Blues |

No way we could ever afford anything like Marvel or Star Trek. They want to charge a lot to use their IP. Dicemaster was a really flawed game. The fact that it's strictly a two-player game is bad enough. And add that the company that owed it is completely dissolved and you end up with no way to contact anyone to even talk about the game.
At this point, we have a few years ahead of us in reintroducing Daemon Diceâ„¢. I don't even want to think about anything else as far as a new game right now. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

I know you said you don't want to think about new games, but just a purely hypothetical, unspecific question:
Does SFR plan to stick to dice games, or do you plan to branch out into card games, board games, and the like? |

I'd just as soon not answer that. Right now my crystal ball is pretty foggy. Of course we are always looking at product plans, and that's about all I can say right now. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Good enough. As much as I love dice, it's so darn heavy lugging around all my races and terrains. A box of cards is so much lighter and... wieldly? Is that a word? |

Of course we are always looking at product plans, and that's about all I can say right now. | I think this is a great answer. As game designers, we can see games in the daily commute on the way home. Its the way our brains are wired to view the world and break it down into pieces and rules (at least that's how I view the world).
So there are new dice games, new card games, expansions to existing games, etc. that I think of all the time...
however, given what has recently happened to our guestimates on producing what should've been an easy release... I wouldn't want to make a guess.
There are more ideas on our plate than we have time or money to produce. So flip a coin and you would be just as accurate as anything I could say today. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |
