What would you think of having a two-player DD forum game in which the decision on how to proceed with each army is done via a forum poll? Everybody on the forum could vote for both sides-in fact, you'd only need one person to keep track of the armies. (Probably not me, after what happened in my forum game with Dieter!) I think this might be a lot of fun. This would also give some of the newer players insight into how some of the more experienced players would act in their situation.

I think that would be very helpful. Also if possible I think persons such as myself might benefit if people were also allowed to post what reasons they had for choosing certain actions. That way some of the newer players can gain more insight into how to play the game.

Kinda "game school", huh? Nice idea! Yeah, we could try that, even though an explanation of what you're doing (and why) would inform your opponent about your plans for the game. But for practice reasons it's a great idea!

Only problem with that is, you have to make a new topic for each poll.

How about instead of a poll a sort of 'community' game where everybody puts their name on a list to show the 'batting order' - then each turn is played by the next person on the list. Each turn the player could state what they are doing and maybe state why they decided to do it. With an odd number of players, each player may end up playing the game from both sides. Each player (except the first player) would start durring the opponent's turn, then also take their own turn - so you would get a kind of staggered list of opponents (the first column is the 'acting player', where the red players are on one side and the blue players are on the other):

A vs B
B vs C
C vs D
D vs E
E vs A
...

Just an idea, and I'm not even sure if that really made sense Smile
