Hi all! I think the playmats that MissTiffany made are awesome, but were confusing for some of the people I've played with when we had 3+ players.
I decided to make a semi-modular design to help out.

The idea is that the Frontier mat sits in the middle of the play area, and the Home mat and Ref mat sit in front of the player.
I'm not sure what size would be best, but I designed them at 11 inches.

If anyone has any suggestions on improving them I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

EDIT:

I put them all in a Dropbox folder for easier storage. ^w^

These are beautiful. I will certainly be making a set of these for multiplayer use. Will you be making a sheet for each race?

Do you have any with a similar design for two-player games? A more "traditional" playmat with your artistic flair?

Again, these are beautifully-made. Good work!

Yep. I'm going to try and knock out as many races as I can today, and maybe 1-2 a day until finished.
Hadn't thought about making traditional playmats, as you could use these for 2-player games also. I might make some. We'll see. ;]

Thanks very much. Let me know how they work for you. ^^

Well I play a lot of two-player games and tournaments, so a generic playmat might be nice to have. I like the coloring, font, and artwork you have on there. Maybe one of the panels (DUA or something) has the muted dragon breath in the back with a list of the different dragon breath colors?

I don't know. You're the artist here! Mr. Green

Thanks for the suggestion. I have added it to the reference mat. =]
Also, I've finished the Ferals mat.
Both are in the Dropbox folder.

Looks awesome!

What if, instead of a rectangular mat for two-player games, you make three "plain" rectangle mats: home, campaign, horde. The top half is for the army, and the bottom half is SAI lists or something? Then you use the reference mat for all the other zones.

My only problem is that I usually play mixed-race armies, so having an army card for a single race usually doesn't do the trick. One set of "generic" cards that have all the SAIs would be better I think.

Again, these look awesome. I love the muted icons behind the DUA, BUA, etc. Those are all amazing. That kind of style for a "Home", "Frontier" and "Horde" would be great!

Hi all, sorry I've not worked on these much.
Anyways, the Goblin mat is now finished and in the Dropbox folder.

EDIT: Firewalkers and Scalders added.
EDIT 2: All races except the Amazons are done. I also have plans to make smaller secondary army cards, for those that play with two races.
All races are now done. I've had one mat printed and laminated and plan to get the rest done in the next day or so. I'll post pics when they're done. =]

There's a pic of a mock game I set up.
I'll be playing a game with these at a friend's house on Friday, so we'll see how well they work. =]

Thanks, Cliff.

They seemed to work really well for my group.

I also just updated the Amazons' and Firewalkers' mats. Missed a SAI's icon in each of them.

This is a great idea for a newb player like me.

All the reference material i need because I don't have it all committed to heart yet is there and easy to see.

I will definitely be using these.
