noticed something strange over the years of watching Dragon Diceâ„¢ auctions on EBay.

Both the TSR Unseelie and Inferno have the same rarity, 1 in 40, so theoretically, there should only be 60 Infernos, since this is the confirmed production of the UF, yet, the Inferno doesnt command nearly the prices as the UF, yet it is a much more useful die as far as game-play goes.

Has anyone else given this any thought, and ideas as to why it might be the case?

Actually, the rarity is one in 40 for the Unseelie, and 2 in 70 for the Inferno. From my observations, it seems that people want to get one of each TSR version. For play, where you would want multiple Infernos, people just use the reprints.

We know that TSR made 100,000 Scalder kickers. What we don't know is how many of those kickers were destroyed when WotC decided they needed the space in their warehouse. SFR got only a few hundred Scalder kickers from WotC. We don't have sales figures for Scalders from WotC. So we have no idea how many were destroyed.

still,1 in 35 for the inferno is still a low number for the price theyre selling for comparedto the UF. guess its a status symbol type thing, lol
