Thought I would bring attention to this little used page.

For all you people with the list of Dice stats.

I need 4 dice to complete my collection:
2 TSR Inferno & 2 TSR Unseelie.
I have 2 sealed TSR Scalder kickers.

What is my chances of completing my collection if I rip them open?

Confused

You'll know as soon as you rip them open!! Twisted Evil

Well, you know I'm bad in maths and you know my opinion about keeping kickers sealed, so I guess you're not surprised about this answer.

Wink Wink

On second thought:

Send those kickers to me, I'll rip them open and tell you afterwards if you would have completed your collection.

Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

This leads to the conclusion that Dragon Diceâ„¢ is a psychological educational tool as well, LOL!
Brings up the DARK SIDE in us .... well, at least in me! Shocked

But to be serious:
I guess your chances are almost zero to find 4 very, very rare dice in only 2 kickers.
You would break every record with that!

GOOD LUCK!
TEAR THEM BOXES APART AND FIND OUT!
I WOULD!!!! Cool

I would agree. two get 2 fairies in 2 cases is not unheard of, but you might as well play the lottery or go hiking in a thunder storm.

However, if you do get a fairy, its more likely to have an inferno with it. I've seen lots of fairies and inferno's bagged together.

You have a 1/35 chance of getting an Inferno, and a 1/40 chance of getting an Unseeli, so the odds of getting both would be 1/1400. The odds of getting that twice in a row would be 1/1960000.

In other words, not bloody likely.

I'd say leave the boxes sealed and keep them as a collectable.

I believe there are at least two instances where a player got both an INferno and an Unseelie in one kicker. I witnessed one (Derek Macchia at Dreamation, I think in 2006), and I remember someone else saying they also had it happen once, but I don't recall who.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Yes, it was 2006-I have a picture of the unopened bag on my web site.

When I opened the first of the Scalders shortly after they came out the first time from WotC, I got 2 Unseelies and 5 Infernos. That was out of 3 cases or 36 kickers. I remember posting on the old email list server (I'm sure I still have it, just too lazy to find it right now), that the Will o' Wisp was the ultra-rare that the old TSR insiders had hinted would be in this set. I only got one Will o' Wisp.

I think at least one bag with an Unseelie also had an Inferno. I remember I saw the first of each at the same time. Since I was opening one box at a time and looking at each die as I went, I'm pretty sure about that.

Congrats, Pete!
You got at least the Inferno!!! Cool!!

Honestly, I thought you'd end up with two Etterc(r)aps!
But that would have been me ripping the boxes open, LOL!

I'm glad you did!
