Ok, first sequence is: 4 + 32 * x, where x goes from 0 to 31
Second sequence is: 128 + x, where x goes from 0 to 31

All the numbers here are powers of 2. Since Dragon Diceā„¢ tends to be powers of 5, it's not related to Dragon Diceā„¢. Therefore, it must be a sequence from some Trading Card Game. Talking about Trading Card Games without insulting them, is itself insulting.

Steve, ground that boy! He's buying Trading Card games again. Mr. Green

This has nothing to do with any game (I should know; he's been showing me this for ages), and Chuck is on the right track.

If it has nothing to do with Dragon Diceā„¢ (or the number 74 <huff>) then why is it a Dragon Diceā„¢ Trivia Quiz?

Confused Mmmmm Wink

It is a Dragon Diceā„¢ trivia quiz because the answer is the preferred method of counting by the 2006 Dragon Diceā„¢ World Champion.

I'm a gamer, I can justify almost anything.

In that case it has to do with counting in a base other than base ten. And these insulting numbers are the ones which produce a naughty finger configuration when using your fingers to represent the binary configuration of the base of which the hand is a whole.

i.e. if you were counting in base 32 and one hand represented the 'ones' place and the other represented the '32's place, then the insulting numbers would be the one where only the middle finger is selected on either hand.

in fact this matches perfectly with your progression

and the perfect insulting number would be the number...

00100 00100 or 44 in base 32 or 4*32 + 4 = 132

It was the word counting that gave it away.

Way to go Cliff...
answer Questions and 9, and 10 and Pelter said you win a prize.... Razz

Pelter wrote:
The prize will go to whoever gets DDTQ#10 right, provided an answer is found to DDTQs#7-9.

The prize will also be announced at that time.

And the prize is NOT my pelters...or me...in fact, I don't quite know what it is...

So is the fingering for "A natural" on the B-flat tuba insulting as well? Wink

or what about "C"?
