Seeing how I bought my only Unseelie from Steve...
I still have the reciept for over $500
I feel a bit connected to the story...
but since I have been labeled with stereo typical behavior..
have fun I won't say a thing.

Steve, are you giving us some hints, that you may cast a wider net than just your family? I see you are (wisely) leaving your wife out of this.

If you need to add some stuff you can always add my son Paul, the ultimate "teenager". He'll never notice, he's too much into his video games (all first person shooters). And you can add my daughter, who is currently in another world (Costa Rica). She'd correct me and say "Dad, it's República de Costa Rica".

I haven't really decided completely where the story is going, but, as my previous comments indicate, there will be occasions when characters in the story may bear some resemblance (or at least a close-sounding name) to certain personalities.

As for my wife, the only reason she's left out is that she doesn't play DD. She's not fond of games involving lots of math. ("Let's see, I rolled 14, then subtract 2, divide by 2-oh, wait, 4-or was it divide then subtract...oh, just pull out Wii Music.")

douh, they just said. You have to head east young man! head east to Evans town!

just make sure you don't drift too far south to the infamous Shippingapolis. I hear there's a powerfully mean being there (a pair of them actually) with the power to ORDER things to disappear.

They said it was the eastern Continent, so they must be in hawaii or china...

A review of Esfahn history and the discovery of Cyrea:

The original map of Esfah, as drawn and/or displayed on Dave Papay's web site, was the more-or-less official land in which the Dragon Dice™ game was set. However, as the upheavals of the world pushed the races to desperate measures, the set off to see if there were any other lands to settle. Lo and behold, they discovered the continent of Cyrea in the western hemisphere of Esfah!

Sadly, they brought with them all the troubles of the "Old World," which led to three (as of last count) "Great Wars." The Third Great War ended with the Battle of Balgavarr, as recorded in Chill Wind.

(In our world, the western hemisphere became an excuse to allow Joe to set CW in a land of his own devising, since he didn't have Dave's map, nor did he want CW to be set in the same setting as Cast of Fate.)

So my east/west references refer to Esfahn geography, not ours. I was in Illinois last year (to take Robert to a band conference), so I know where it is and how long it takes to drive there.

[P.S.-Then there's the whole northern/southern hemisphere thing proposed by Bruce Parrello...]

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone's favorite race? I'm not asking for any particular reason, just curious.

Gee Steve, no one that plays against me has any doubt on that questions: Feral. Treefolk and Goblins are neck-and-neck for second.

I've never been overly impressed when I've used a Strangle Vine, but Treefolk in general are kind of iffy for me. My Unseelie Faerie, however, seems to like getting in a game (it survived two lightning strikes in a row at the last Windy City meeting - the 3rd strike killed it, but was promoted back into play on my next turn during a dragon attack).
