I've been playing Dragon Diceâ„¢ off and on from the beginning, at least ten years, and have been trying to simulate the textures for almost as long. I've just come back to the game and coincidentally finally come up with some textures that I think are good enough to share. Below are just thumbnails, stupid photobucket won't accept images over 1024x768 but I have a 1920x1080 version of each of these if anyone is interested in a wallpaper or just lots of texture with no repeats.

I've made some of these as well, if you like textures. They arn't that big, nor that consistently random though, as they are made by cutting and pasting and rorating different parts from different dice images. Look for a topic called Specialist Dice in this subsection.

Yay, finally some replies! Anybody who's interested can download 1920x1080 version of all these (very slowly) here. I still haven't found anywhere that will host images bigger than 1024x768 for free, so I'm stuck serving them from my own pc.

I've done a few simulated die faces:

Using the IDs from the rules pdf.

These are quite useful in rendering simulated dice in 3D. Thanks!

Hey, I'd definitely be interested in full size versions of those, I love working with textures on my various projects.

I'd be interested in the larger textures as well. I have an idea in mind for while storing my dice in plano like 17 compartment containers. Was going to just pull the Racial Unit Charts from the rule book and print them on sticker paper and affix them to the inside of the lid, for quick identification of dice. Though the white background is a little plain to print, so instead ill re-edit the icons to match the inking color, and print them on a larger textured background and affix that to the lid instead. Thanks for the work. I didnt want to use actual scans from the dice. Figured that the images would than seem off, as well as not having every dice unit for some races.

Your upload seems to be a broken link for me right now though. Have you ever used google drive? they'll let you upload whatever you want. Just throw them in a zip file, and you can than share the file with a download link.

Note: this is a thread from 4 years ago.

I'm not surprised that the link doesn't work anymore and there haven't been any recent posts from that user.

It may not be possible to get high-rez versions of those any more.

Yup! When I saw this notification in my inbox I was like "whoa."

On topic, for those of you using this for 3D rendering, there may be a better alternative: use your 3d program's "noise" feature and you should be able to specify the colours. This way it is generated randomly at whatever resolution you wish.

That being said I spent countless hours trying to create a template to render all the dice -- yes, every single die in the game -- but I can't get past creating something that would automatically map the die faces onto a particular model.

Sure I can PROJECT something onto he die face but whenever I try to use a bump map to create the pits, I get a lot of tearing in my models Sad

I gave up for a bit because I was going insane, but I am still looking for any good tutes out there. If any.

Ah, i didnt even notice Cliff. Thanks for pointing that out. I just saw the thread marked with a new post and didnt think of looking at the dates. I havnt been looking around the forums in the last little while. Ive been a tad busy, and sorting through and cataloging OverPower cards, as i had dice buried under some of them on the desk.

I've got a copy of these. The ZIP file is 48MB, so I can't send it out to everyone that wants it. If there is one person who wants to go thru the trouble of finding a place to host it I can send it to you.

I've tried several times, but yahoo mail keeps giving me an error every time I try to attach a file. Sad
