just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I just got my order today from Mr. Pint and I am very happy with it, he put up with my nagging
and I thank him for that,in my order I bought Dragon Dice™ the PC game and when I tried to install it I got a "cannot find setup.exe"message and the game doesn't install. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Open up the drive and it should be in the root directory. If not, it's possible that your drive simply can't read the old CD-ROM format. I've seen that happen with the new Blu-Ray drives.

"Cannot find SETUP.EXE" is what I am getting when I click the icon with the dragon on it and the system file "application" labeled as SETUP.EXE is another I tried and am getting "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's syster information to wether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher."

I am running in compatability mode and as administrator, I am just not sure what is the fix at this point. Any help is appreciated.

You can't run 16-bit programs directly in Windows 64-bit (of any OS). If you have Windows 7, you can run it in a Virtual XP mode. Go to this link and download: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

Unfortunately, SFR does not have rights to the Dragon Dice™ computer game. So it will not be updated by us. Numerous people have said they were going to make their own computer game, so far it has not happened.

A mobile app would be freakin' awesome. I would gladly back a kickstarter for one.

On another note, I've seen some download sites for the Dragon Dice™ PC..I wonder how safe they are, and how easily I would be able to get it running on Windows 8 or 10..

Windows10 has a compatibility mode, so you should be able to run any old program under that (but I haven't tried)

as for a random site to download a random game, your mileage will vary.

finally (for big brother who is always watching) piracy is bad.

Copy that.
I just assume purchase one for the sake of collection, if i can find one in decent shape. I assume the originally included promo die would be hard to come by though.

What about Windows 8? I don't expect to have 10 for a few more months.

I skipped windows 8 and 9. I only installed 10 last night because I wanted the opportunity to try it out while it was still a free upgrade. Your good friend google should know.

as for the die that came with it. it was actually one of 5 different 'Dragon Masters'. We sell the same die with our company logo on it, but if you want one of those there are people who would have them for trade.

One of our European players(dare I say German, to be more specific), recently posted a picture on FB of 30-ish of the Green Dragon Master.

Shouldn't be too hard to find.

I still have about 30 of the old PC games laying around. However, Cliff is wrong about compatibility mode. The Interplay Dragon Dice™ game is a 16-bit program. In any version of Windows 7, 8, or 10 (There is no Windows 9), you cannot run a 16-bit program in 64 bit version of Windows. The Intel (or AMD) processor cannot do it. However, you can run it under a few programs that mimic the old Windows '95 OS. Most are open source. See my comments above for running it under Windows 7. That should still apply to Windows 8 and 10.
