I've added some updates to the forums.
You now have Strikethru (see the little "s" button on the end?).

One thing that I have noticed is that when I go to www.sfr-inc.com/bb (the link from the main SFR site) and then try to log in, I have to log in a second time - even though it shows that I am a currently logged-in user. I think it has to do with the domain name changing to dragondice.info/bb once you log in, but I haven't really tested it much. I do know that if I go directly to dragondice.info/bb and log in, everything works as expected.

When you are done with the forum don't log out. Just close the window. I found if I do that when I come back I don't have to log in. If you log out when you come back it freaks out and thinks you are not logged in when you are. I also type www.dragondice.info/bb directly. Or make a favorite for it.

Forum domain name changed to "sfr-inc.com". I used dragondice.info because that was all I had available at the time the website was moved. All the other domain names will work (dragondice.com, .info, .org), but could give you a problem. As long as you always visit the forum with the same domain name, everything should work just fine. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Forum software updated to 2.0.15. If you see any weird behavior, it's most likely just Steve or Joe. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

The forum now has a spell checker. See the "Spell Check" button when you are entering a message? Well use it! _________________ You can never have too many dice.

On sending a message, the forum automatically bumped me to the spellchecker, and wouldn't send the message until I confirmed that Ormyrr was spelled correctly.
Just thought I'd mention it, since it is going to be a pain with some of the words the spellchecker won't recognize, if it is going to automatically butt in whenever I post or send a message.
Aaaaaaaaarghghhhhgh! It just did it again when I clicked "submit." |

OK, don't panic. I'm in the middle of putting in a bunch of words that are common here (i.e. Dragon Dice⢠terms), but are not in the dictionary. May take me a while. If I forget some, don't bug me about it until tomorrow. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

What is funny is that I haven't used the spellchecker yet, and am unlikely to do so!
By the way, I don't know what this could be related to, but one of the PM's I had wouldn't let me respond/reply to it, no matter what I tried. The other two I was trying to respond to worked just fine; there wasn't anything but plain text in the PM that wouldn't work. |

Same with me! Could only open one topic (funny! It was the post saying that some changes were made to the forum and that funny behavior of the program should be reported! ) but none of the others! also couldn't post a reply. A few moments later everything was back to normal!
As far as the spell checker is concerned: How couldn't you use it, deputyfive?? In my case it starts automatically.
Maybe this is Chuck's way to teach Germans that they have to work on their spelling??? (just kidding, Chuck!)
Ay no thet may Inglisch is bedder then se Inglisch ov lodds ov others! _________________

Spell checker is updated with all Dragon Dice⢠race names, die names, and important terms. If you find any terms that you think the spell checker should allow, let me know. BTW, the entire forum was undergoing some heavy maintenance this afternoon. Sorry if it was out of service for a little while. Everything should be back to normal (whatever that is).
BTW, I paid the $25 to make the spell checker ad-free. But I was warned that it may not take for up to 48 hours. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

I've also added another little update (which I see that Steve and Joe are already using it the wrong way). If you click on the Profile link at the top of the page, there is a new setting. You can setup to display the flag of your country under your name. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Excuuuuuse me? Using the wrong way? I don't see anything that says "Flag of YOUR country" or "Flag of the country you live in." It just says "country flag." The way Joe and I are using it is wrong if and only if you assume that the purpose of the flag under a person's name is to show what country they are from. I, however (and I'm not speaking for Joe here, since he'll probably lodge his own protest soon), am using the flag with the twofold purpose of (1) displaying national flags which I believe have a certain aesthetic merit, and which are seldom seen, and (2) putting a very distinctive marker by my own posts so I (and my legion of fans) can clearly pick them out of a thread. Therefore, my way is not wrong, it's just different. And perfectly valid to my own (rather skewed, warped, and otherwise perverse) way of thinking. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun
