Sorry 6...I flipped the concept of Save as Maneuvers...

Well, that was demoralizing.

I resign. Unless you think it's worth while for me to roll back to the Reserves for my turn. Since I presume you're just going to pop off some Lightning Strikes to finish me off on your turn. Then I cast Magic maybe with what I have left to bring back a unit.

I'll put up some of my own analysis on my play a little later.

Those eldarim champions are pretty tough customers with all those SAIs on them.

If you hadn't killed your mages it would be more worthwhile to keep going (the other terrains are at faces 1 and 4, so there is still some time for you to come back). Since I now have a standing stones, I'll use it to put your green dragon at my home terrain so no matter what terrain you go to you'll have to face a dragon. Plus the lightning strikes (not much else I can cast at this point besides hailstorms and lightning strikes - missile attacks would be pointless with this army). Those ravagers are hard to kill with magic since they save so well.

I guess it entirely up to you if you want to continue or resign. I figure the game will be over in about 4 or 5 rounds no matter what.

In some other games, I felt I wans't aggressive enough, so let's try this on for size...

1. After losing my attempt at the 8th Face, I figure that I need to try and reduce your chance at it, so I attack with Melee. You manage to save 16 of 18 Melee. I wasn't very shocked by that considering that you army as a whole seemed to have above average Save chances. You counter and manage to drop 8 of my health with the smite and additional when i don't get enough saves on my part.
2. I send the mages to the DUA hoping that what little chance I have to counter your Maneuver lies with the infantry rather than the mages. Should I have instead assumed/yielded that I was going to lose 8th face for sure and retreated the whole army to th Reserves.
3. If I'm assuming that I'm going to lose the 8th face, should that thought have pushed me down the line to the idea of ditching the Heavy and Light so the Mages could bring them back?
4. Or was I better off in an attempt to stand my ground.
5. Then you manage to get 8 Smite after taking 8th face. Was that a fortunate roll or something "more" assured by the army composition? I further fail in the saves, losing 3 more. Then my own counter attack is vitimized when you get a counter popping off another 4.
6. The Counter on my part at that time was foolhardy, correct? Since you were 8th faced, I had basically no chance there.
7. Only thing left that maybe I should have done was leave the terrain at my home unchanged or put it up to 7 when we both had all units in the reserves. It might have given me a better shot to the 8th.

I'm curious for thoughts on mine above.
I'd be up for another if you're inclined. You pick the format.

Lastly, while I want to win. I just enjoy the hell out of this game regardless of the outcome.

I don't want to answer your questions, because Eldarim I have the least experience with so far. So I don't know how to play them or against them. I'm excited to learn to, but I don't plan on doing so until after I learn at least most of the other 12 races to some degree.

But my last game against Eldarim, I realized that my mistake was attacking my opponent. This was in part because all of our terrains were rolled high, but had I just gone for maneuvering to two 8th faces, I think I could've won. But whenever I attacked or counter-attacked, I inevitably lost more units and bloated his army strength instead.

Not exactly the same thing that happened here, but similar.

That was a calculated risk. Unlike your first attack against me, this one didn't pan out. I was hoping to roll a Bash, but it never happened (at least not during a save roll).

Your infantry and mages have equal chances of generating maneuvers, but the mages can get back your dead units, infantry cannot (at least not very quickly). Sticking around to prevent me from turning it up to 8 is a strategic choice, but if you've taken a beating already and expect more (whether or not I get the 8th), then its probably better to retreat and live to fight another day.

See above. Another thing which I mentioned about the previous game is that you bunch everything up into one army instead of splitting up into two. Putting your mages in reserve would have allowed you to put watery doubles, wall of ice, and open grave on your army, greatly increasing your army's survival.

Getting two smites was lucky, but I had good odds of getting at least one. Between the champions and the heavy infantry they can produce alot of damage, and the mages aren't helpless either in a fight. During a save rolll I've got multiple chances of generating a counter/bash, plus all of the other icons that produce saves such as fly and sfr logos.
