ok so first march at my home (which now is at 7)

maneuver unopposed up to 8

magic action:

Minor Death: 4 Melee
Searer: 2 Melee
Searer: 2 Save

0

at the frontier: magic action

Bronze Medallion: 4 Sortie
Fireshadow: 4 Smite
Inferno: 4 Cantrip
Inferno: 2 Save

total 4

spark of life to take back one common from my DUA

an easy thing: all the scalders to the reserve

so the two searer from the home terrain + the two inferno from the fontier

One thing to note: Scalder Fly also causes Scorching Touch damage. So those 2 Fly on the Dragonne Knights would have killed the Leopard Riders.

And yes, Rends just keep adding up. The record I've seen is 28 points of damage from one Leopard Rider (8 Rends and then 4 melee).

Second March: might as well try a magic action with the reserve army

Marauder - ID = 3

so I take 5 damage
the Marauder and a Cutthroat die

Roll to save against the 2 damage from the Firestorm

The Goblin army was totally Melee based with light melee and heavy melee units. However with that scalder magic and strong melee scalders the Goblins were no match.
Every time I attacked the Scorching Touch killed a little. They have some really cool racial spells too.

I think I would like to try the Goblins again. I will have to change my army structure though.

Yes the scalders have one quite focused magic die, the only problem is that is also one of the rarest die of the game (the Inferno). Also they have 6-value faces on some dice (like 6-magic on inferno, 6-melee on searer, ecc) which can be quite useful if rolled at the right time.

Your army was quite unusual with no magic units, usually you'd want to have as many magic units as you can get (or at least this is how I've seen people play until now.)

well anyway, thank you for this match.

I guess I won't be able to play during the next days, I have to close some things at work before christmas, and I'm actually playing during work time (but don't worry, I will work tonigh to balance things up).
But I think the final rush won't let me play much.

So I won't invite you to a new game, not until after Christmas, at least Smile
