Any collectable game has this one Gaming peace, that all players wish to have.
Not rarer, but even cooler than the others, like the Black Lotus in Magic, the Future Enterprise in the Star Trek CCG or Anunub in Mage Knight.
We all know, the Unseelie Faerie is the best a DD player can get, but we have three!
So wich is the best one??

I vote for #4, the prototype Unseelie Faerie.

There is only one Holy Grail in Dragon Dice™, and it is the TSR Unseelie. Its number one in my book, and its not even close.

The other two don't even crack my top-5 dice list. I think the SFR "dark" Ormyrr is way cool. And I prolly like all the Magi better than the other two UFs as well. The promo UF might squeak in at number 6 (this is just off the top of my head right now), but the SFR UF is definitely further down the list... behind all Ogres, probably the Infernos, and maybe a few other dice as well!

That's my 2 cents.

I don't know about star trek CCG or mage knight (never touched them), but I have some knowledge of M:TG and I don't think the Unseelie is comparable to the black lotus.

Black lotus is a card that will enhance whatever deck you put it into, it's rare because it hasn't been printed anymore since 20 years ago. and it was printed in sets with a "limited" printing.

The unseelie is just the most rare die, but it's far from being a must-have die.

For all this, I vote Inferno promo Smile

I don't wish to compared a Unseelie with a Lotus, the others should only be examples.

I think your comparison is just fine. The "Holy Grail" doesn't have to to be based on any particular factor. I think its perfectly fine to say Black Lotus is the Holy Grail for Magic and that UF is the Holy Grail for Dragon Dice™. It doesn't matter that they get those positions in their games for different reasons. I certainly don't think the "Holy Grail" of Dragon Dice™ has to be a die that makes your army better. Holy Grail status would typically apply more directly to the collection aspect of the item. If demand for something like Black Lotus is partially based on how strong it is in game play, that's fine. But that does not have to translate to another game.

To me, Holy Grail means that one item in the collection that everyone talks about almost reverently. Its the one piece that is so hard to add to the collection, not only because of price, but in just being able to find someone that is willing to part with one. It doesn't have to be the most powerful thing in the game and it doesn't have to be the rarest thing in the game, but it could certainly be either or both of those. Black Lotus and the UF both qualify as Holy Grails (based on my limited understanding of MAGIC).
