Anyone want to play an online game? If so just let me know (PM or on this thread). I can run the board.
Whatever army size or different types of dice you want to use are fine.
I generally do the standard 36pt game, but might be interesting to do a big monster game with 60 or something.
Even a small 24pt army would be good for a shorter game.

I haven't played a monster bash game in a while.

To keep it from being monotonous, let me propose this:
60 health, all monsters (10 sided)
No more than two of any monster

Allowed:
any terrain color combination
special frontier terrains
white dragons
hybrid dragons

not Allowed:
No dkin
no magic items
no minor terrains
no nightmares (this is for me, cause I love them! but not released yet)

Never tried that, sounds like fun.

I'll start making a pile of monsters and once I have it together I will post it on this thread.

I can run the board, so when you are ready post your monster list.

BTW - the uniqueness qualifier was for me also. Otherwise I would've just picked one monster and brought 15 of them. This forces me to use more and really think about it.

That works out great for me because I don't have a big selection of monsters. I have most of them, but generally only one of each. Don't have most of the extra rare ones though.
Took a bit of thinking to figure out something to do with them... not sure how it will work. Should be fun though.

I have to go to work here in a second, and won't be home tonight, so I*ll setup the board tomorrow afternoon.

No worries about being slow. I am slow a lot of times. The worst part of this game is going to be all the SAI's we are likely to roll and the back and forth to resolve them.

Wow, indeed magic is hard to roll with monsters. That would have been an awesome melee attack with 16

I will cast burning hands on my Wolf Pack:
BURNING HANDS Casting Cost: 4
Target one of your units not already under the effects of a Burning Hands spell. The target unit’s melee results are doubled. This spell remains in effect until it is used by the unit or until the unit generates non-SAI melee results needed by the army. Multiple castings target multiple units.

Second March: I will maneuver with my army at your home terrain.
Maneuver result:
Yeti - maneuver icon = 4
Wolf Pack - maneuver icon = 4
Total = 8

If you countered, the most you can get is four. so I know I will win.

Turn the terrain up to 7.

Melee Action against the fireshadow.

The Smite will kill him, so no save roll and no counter attack possible.

First the SAI's

You get to pick this one, one of them must die (It can't be the minor death if it flees to reserves).

Finally - There is no normal missile to save against, so you get no save roll.

Reserves:

My wolf pack will retreat from the Highland.
The FireShadow at the frontier will terrain flight to my home.

Everyone else stays.

Okay, moved it down.

First March: I will try once more to do a magic action... hope it works better this time.

hmm.. I will make it even more monstery and summon a dragon to the frontier. The Red/Black Drake.

With the Will o Wisp I will cast Water Walking on my army at your home terrain.
Water Walking Casting Cost: 4 Spell List: Scalder
Target any army located at a terrain with the green (water) element. Until the beginning of your next
turn, add four maneuver results to the target army. Multiple castings increase the effect or target
another army.
