Not sure what you are doing with the Breath of Life. You have a common and a monster in the DUA. The common only needs one Breath of Life (brings back one health of dead). The monster needs 4 Breath of Life to bring it back (4 = health -> 4 Breath of Life). So you would have needed 12 points of magic (4 x 3) to bring back the Frost Ogre.

Note that 8 of that magic was from IDs. Since the terrain is a Standing Stones, Frostwings get to double their IDs. You can double blue since the terrain has blue in it. You can double black, just pick a DUA and you can double up to the number of health dead. Since Cliff's DUA has 15 health of dead, you can double all 8 of your ID points. So either way, you would have 18 points of magic.

However, there is a more fundamental problem. A Coastland at 2 has missile not magic. So your army cannot cast magic if you maneuver the terrain up.

Ok got it. I didn't understand the black magic doubling but since the magic is mute I edited my march for a missile attack.

I understand being busy. A single email just made my last three hours disappear.

So first, I made an error in the last board posting. I said I retreated my common, but didn't do it.
So you had no opposing army against your maneuver at your home.
Also my home is a standing stone. I need to add that.

Normally you would have to declare a target for your missile attack BEFORE you roll it. but since there is only one army in range(My campaign), I will roll it against the 13 damage:

Carrion Crawler - 4 Save
Dracolich - 4 Magic
Fenhound - 4 Maneuver
Minor Death - 4 ID
Skeletal Steed - 4 Melee
Mummy - 3 Wither
Death Knight - 3 Save
Ghost - 3 Save

Spectre - 2 Melee
Ghast - 2 ID

Zombie - 1 ID

23 saves, where was all that while you were damaging me last turn...

Chuck, keep me honest here, but I assume the Frost Breath resolves just like a Dancing Lights against magic.
i.e. SAI's are not affected by other SAI's.

4 SAI Saves + 8 normal saves.
4+ (8/2) = 8 saves total. Stupid breath.

12 damage - 8 saves = 4 damage

I will take the Skeletal Steed for the damage and step (my racial ability) the Death Knight into the army.

I have no counter attack, so it is your Reserves (if any).

If unopposed, there is not reason to roll for maneuvers. And when you have the eighth face, you can roll for melee, missile, or magic. So there is always an action to take (i.e. magic).

At the time that I started to roll my save it still said 'no action'. you updated it while I was doing my save roll to change an action to exist.

You need to be careful about updating such things 'in place'...
