While While a number of small wording changes and clarifying statements have been added to the rules, a fairly major change was just made to two of the dice descriptions:
Arm: changed the deflect to a block. It has been determined that an arm was just too powerful. so we downgraded it slightly. This may have the side effect of making a Tail and an Eye more powerful.
Shell : Took the added plus off the Shell. It is now the only body part that gives a deflect. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

With blocking more difficult now, I'll have to try this game again with the updated rules. I think I'll like the changes.
Thanks, SFR! |

Just played for the first time tonight and was amazed at how powerful the arm was. |

Quick question: Does the mouse pad playmat have the old and and shell rules on it? |

Unfortunately it depends on when you bought it.
The arm was the way it was for about 18 months and everyone was happy with it.
It wasn't until we started playtesting an expansion idea last month that it became obvious.
If you bought the playmat at Gencon, then it was before the change was needed.
If you bought it afterwards from our website, then it was after.
I hate that we have all those mats with what is now an incorrect rule, but it can't be avoided. Every game's rules will evolve. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

It happens, I was just wondering. I'll need a new mat once you add the item rules to it in the future anyway. |

Not really a change to the rules, more of a clarification: The sequence of play had an update to the Apply Foe's Minuses: note that minused dice can be taken for stuns or wounds. There was an update to the Suffer Stuns & Wounds: "Note: You can choose any body part which is not already stunned or wounded, including grabbed, minus-ed, or spent body parts to suffer damage."

I like it, that's something I didn't really see until after the first few playthroughs. |
