In the games I've seen recently, it seems like minor terrains are getting less usage than in the past. That might just be my local area, so I'm curious:

1) Do you use minor terrains in your games?

2a) If not, why not?

2b) Why do you choose to use minor terrains?

3) If you use minor terrains, how do you determine which ones you bring to a game?

Thanks for any input you may have on this question.

1.) No, I don't
2a.)They are far to dangerous. Rolling everytime you maneuver increases the chance of a critical loss to your army. Since we all know that Dragon Dice™ has a fair share of chance, I think I personally don't need that kind of tough luck.
2b.) ---
3.) I'd say I look at what I need. Maneuver, Melee, Missile or Shields. And take the appropriate amount + randoms according to the Meta I am facing. Swamplands in my case.

I bring them, but only activate one if I have nothing better to do with that army. If it is 'faster' to just turn the terrain up. I will do that based on my own judgement of whether I think the minor will give me what I want or not.

I bring the minor terrains that match the type of attack I plan on doing/needing the most. I will bring one of each color combination.

I will bring them to the game in the colors to match the terrains I bring but never plan on using them. I don't want to waste a maneuver opportunity in bringing in a minor when turning up the major may better serve my winning chances. About the only time I would even think about bringing one in is if I won a maneuver roll when the major was on 6.

I'll see if Rules 3.0 changes my opinion in any fashion.

Later,
