Just for fun today, my fiancee and I decided to take some neat shots of some of the dice in my collection. I let her pick out the dice she likes most for the shot, so some of my custom dice leaked into one or two of the pictures, hehe.

Anyway, I thought I'd share the pics with the forum. Smile

Almost makes me want to dump everything I have into a pile and take a picture!

I did exactly this a couple of years ago, it was a fun adventure documenting the whole thing, but dear god it was a rough time and my (now)wife was not terribly pleased by the end of the process.

That was a fun photo series! Man, your collection is about 30x larger than mine, haha.

Your collections are so cute...

The ziplocks in the background contain a single die.

You gotta put your money where your mouth is man. I'd love to see some pictures Chuck.

Also Cliff, do my eyes deceive me or is that a bag of white dragons?

I took a different approach to collecting. Going for reasonably diverse without breaking the pocket book, gather troops supporting tournament play limits:
36 army health
18 max magic
2 terrain
4 minor terrain
2 dragons (1 white)
12 dragonkin

May your troops have purpose, be dutiful, and never go hungry.

Dice counts (Objective: 1,884, Actual: 1,497)
Dragons: 2e Drake, 2e Wyrm
Terrain: 2e Major, 1e Special, 4e Minor
Army: 1e Monster, 2e Rare, 4e Uncommon, 8e Common
Eldarim: 1e Royalty, 1e Champion, 2e Rare, 2e Uncommon, 2e Common
Dragonkin: 1e Champion, 1e Rare, 2e Uncommon, 4e Common
Items: 1e Medallion, 1e Artifact, 1e Rare, 2e Uncommon, 4e Common

The fame to which I claim is minimization and organization:

I had a similar goal, but because I like to experiment, I wanted to have 18 health of every unit that I conceivably could run (and 16 health of monsters). This is why the actual size of my collection hasn't changed much in the last few years. I keep some extras and trade those away to newer players and things like that, but my personal collection has stayed pretty static. But that's what happens after you've been actively working toward a specific goal slowly over the course of five years, eh?

In my eyes, all collections are beautiful. This has been a lot of fun

That's why they are in the corner instead of the middle of the room. Mr. Green
