Just wanted to get a pulse on how people decide on where to send damage taken.

I typically try to eliminate the dice that have the least amount of the action my army is built around. (i.e. If I'm using a primarily melee army I will first kill off the dice with the least amount/chance of melee.)

How do others chose?

Depends also on race. For Undead, first killing off smaller units to setup for Stepped Damage is critical. On the other hand, I'll often kill larger units when I'm playing Feral, so they can be promoted back.

Usually try not to kill off monsters or large units simply because it's harder to get the right amount of magic to bring them back.
