I haven't been watching all the online games, but I noticed something recently.

Do you always assume your opponent will counter maneuver thus rolling in the same post you declare your maneuver attempt or do you wait for them to declare the counter maneuver and thus they roll first?

It would seem to take the same amount of posts either way and one is closer to the actual rules.

If the terrain is at seven, then I assume they will always counter-maneuver. Otherwise, I'll announce the maneuver attempt and see if they are going to counter.

I would like to add a timer to games online.

I think online game playing changes strategy sometimes,
When the delay of waiting creates a feeling of just ending
the game or commitment.
This leads to compromising strategy.

Even if the timer was set to make a move every 3 days,
at least there is a controlled environment.

Preposting maneuver rolls to speed things up works well,
but the total lack of play is what slows down the game.

One solution could be to make an announcement in the
Rules for this topic online game rules,
a move must be made in 3 days,
that way it is understood.
Also no code (phpBB or java) would need to be written,
but instead, a code of conduct could be declared.

Either way, playing Dragon Dice is Fun. Cool
