phew, I don't think anyone wanted to be on the receiving end of your melee attack with that army, Brad.
Chuck, I'm curious, you would have had a really good chance at stopping me with all those cavalry and the Treefolk counter-maneuvers, why the bail out?? |

just for fun I rolled only 5 maneuvers.
I feel that I forced Chuck and piMaster to my home by going to the reserves...then even going to piMaster's home,
Chuck did not want to be forced....
but that is just what I think happened....
I'm sure Chuck has his reasons...
Nice Win Raven.

Chuck wanted a flatland standing stones, not a coastland, so he could do his path to victory.

Well, besides the fact that a Troll is not a medallion, are you going to forbid the medallion players from bringing a Troll?
Maybe three players would be a better match. |

You can bring a Gold Medallion,Silver, Bronze and a troll if you want to
I'm putting a fairy tale spin to this one...
Rumplestiltskin was a troll who wanted to spin straw into gold..
so that is how the troll fits in. |

I would not have done any better than Brad. By bringing his army to my home, he negated any chance I would have had to change the outcome. By forcing me into reserves at that point, I was basically without any options. So I had to hope Brad would roll enough maneuvers to stop you. Even if I couldn't turn your eighth down, I would have had enough melee to seriously hurt you. And I know all too well, that Feral and Treefolk mages just don't generate much in the way of maneuvers. So I thought I had a better chance of taking away your eighth. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Still, you had noticeably more cavalry and the doubling of the Treefolk cavalry maneuvers... I would imagine you would have rolled more there on the counter.
If you'd grabbed one eighth before Brad went, you could cast spells and be ready to survive Brad's onslaught largely intact. Even without the doubling a Path to Victory won't be out of the question against my mages and you could even Path and Hide one as the medallion was no longer at my first eighth face.
However, that's my devils-advocate spin, I can see your reasons more clearly now, but I do have a somewhat aggressive playing style and would have gone for the stopper myself
Great game! |
