I was messing around with some rolls last night and I think Amazons and Scalders could make a pretty formidable pair for missiles.

Amazon mages have Flaming Spears, which is essentially Burning Hands but for missiles. Scalder missile units have some incredible missile numbers, with the rare having a 6-face (plus that stupid 1-face) and the uncommon having a 3 *and* a 4 face.

Running the rolls, I was able to get over 30 damage numerous times with decent regularity. Of course this requires terrains to come up right, and the biggest problem is Amazon's inability to cast magic in reserves (which I hope gets changed!) but I think it'd be fun to run anyway. The other problem is a huge lack of saves, so it's a glass cannon of sorts.

My build was standard pyramid:

3x Oracle
3x Visionary
3x Seer

3x Blazer
3x Burner
3x Glower

I thought about taking a Wasteland or Feyland Grove for proposed campaign, since many players will take terrain and let me go first.
