Gamestorm 15 is coming! Its only 2 months away! IF you want to host any Dragon Dice events this year, PLEASE let me know. Event submissions will start very soon, so please contact me today!
Also, as an added bonus, there is a free Gamestorm Day THIS Saturday from 9a-9p at the Vancouver (WA) Hilton.
Let's make this the best Gamestorm yet!

As I've asked many times, I want to run the Dragon Dice Challenge
(Insert triumphant music here) I can do any of the days, I just want the
times I would be running the events not to interfere with any tournaments.
Also I get stuff out of doing it as well besides spreading the greatness of
Dragon Dice!
Can't have you doing everything again this year |

Open Time Slots: 9a-4p (table 1) "Taking day to enjoy the con"-Dave , 1p (table 2).
Those are the submitted events (to be scheduled by GS15 staff). If anyone has questions or would like to submit/suggest an event that they are willing to host in one or more of the time slots available, please let me know ASAP.
I'm looking forward to our Saturday afternoon Tournament! This will be a different time slot for us, but hopefully it will allow more participants (max. 16). It is a 60 health, 3 dragon, 50% Magic, standard-type tournament. Please get the word out to as many PNW DDers as possible, I'd love to max this tourney out! Did I mention that the type of prizes available depend upon the number of players?
I will post more updates if needed.
Thanks! _________________ Rep (director) |

I'm going to be there. And 8 months out of practice, but maybe that means that the rest of you will have a chance this time. |

It's not too late to submit an event to host. I will be taking Sunday off to enjoy the show, so there are many open slots available for Sunday, if you'd like to run something, but try to coordinate with Will, if possible.

Does that mean I can't still ban your Feral from the tournament?

And it's 60 health, too! Do you know how many elephants and wolverines I can cram into 60 health?! It's gonna be great.
I'll see if I can get some beta-test rules for Dragon Dice Remix cobbled together for playtesting at Gamestorm... |

Ah, it was good to see Dave again at GameStorm 15. Wish I could have played more, but my "schedule" was pretty much arranged. Wife came with me this year which severly limited my play time.
I did get to play Dave (he let me win) and I did win a challenge with Iain456.
I really wanted to play in the tournament, but I had signed up for the Battlestar Galactica Board Game, with all expansions. It was amazing, but took 3+ hours.
Next year, will be different. I think I'm going to spend most of my time in the Game Lab and challenging DD. I need to play more. <sighs>
Sorry for the Hiatis, been frustrated with no one to play int Yakima, Wa and it being almost impossible for me to escape the area.
Working on my want/need lists. Nice to see you guys (oh, and Dave, nice meeting your brother!) _________________ "Reality isn't relevant, perception is everything." |

James,
It was great see you again as well. I definitely enjoyed our game. I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge with Iain (I know he loved running that event). Let's be talking in the off-season about what type of events and times that you would like to see DD played.
I pose this question to ALL forum members:
Do you have any thoughts/ideas on how to come up with a weekend long tournament/challenge that could include all levels of DD playing experience to attract new & veteran players alike? Maybe we should consider running a few "novice tournaments" (like the ones at Gen Con) or 'novice tournament challenges' (3-4 new players) prior to a larger tournament scheduled for later on in the con.
I'm to any and all suggestions.
At Gamestorm 15 we had a very mediocre turnout from our veteran player base (less than half from our previous year). Our 16 player tournament had only 6 participants, with 2 of them withdrawing (forfeiting) half way through (due to scheduling conflicts).
On the brighter side of things, we were able to reconnect with many players from past conventions (last year's GS and PAX Prime). We also met several new players that kept coming back for more playing time. So, all in all it was successful.
A great many Thanks goes to Iain (without whom I could not have done this convention)! Yes, he definitely earned an SFR promo Dragon Crusader!
Thanks to Sean, Vince, Tom, Dennis, Luke, Noah, James, Jim, Quinn, Doug, (and 4-5 of our new players, whose names I've forgotten ) for stopping by to get in a quick game or two in spite of your busy schedules. It was great to see you all! Thank You for your support!
Please try to help me plan a better event schedule for next year as we continue to grow this fantastic game! (Again, this comment applies to all forum members, I'd love to hear from you!)
