Over the past year, the number Portland area DDicers attending events has dropped dramatically.
In preparation for Game Storm, I have a few questions.

Will you be attending? What days/time?

What type of DD events would you like to see at GS 2014?
Personally, I would like to see a 'round robin tournament', with the winner determined by win/loss record (using the same exact army through out the tournament). This will only happen if we get enough players (8-10 would be ideal).

Would you be willing to host a DD event (your choice)?
I had only 1 volunteer last year!
You decide the event, when you would be able to host, plus, the hours worked could:
(a) count toward a free registration for GS 2015
(b) earn you a free promo die (at least 15 hours is the general rule)!

How much of a presence should we be this year?

What time and day would work best for me to schedule events (that you would attend)?

I and the midweek militia crew will be there running pathfinder events throughout the con so I don't see any reason I cant come by and help out with the DD table at least part of the time. I have 2 regular Dicers in the group and a few occasional players so ill float the idea around and see if i cant get you some more help and players.

Friday Mar. 21st (6p-10p): Battlefest! 60 health (no magic restrictions)
Saturday Mar. 22nd (6p-10p): Standard 36 health (50% magic)

Demos/Casual Play:
Friday Mar. 21st: 4p-6p
Saturday Mar. 22nd: 10a-2p, 4p-6p
Sunday Mar. 23rd: 1p-3p

Please let me know if you are able to attend or help with these events.

If you don't see a format that you'd like play, please let me know or submit your own event, just coordinate with me if possible.

Gamestorm is almost here! Tomorrow!

Dragon Dice at Gamestorm 2014 had a disappointing turnout. With the absence/loss of 2 key reps in our area, we only had a bout 6 players for the tournaments (including myself). I hope to make a better impact next year.

Speaking of tournaments, we had only 2 this year but some of the battles were truly epic! Iain won dominated both events! His armies were strong builds and he played them very well! Congratulations Iain!
Battlefest (60pt.-No Mage restrictions) was the main event Friday night. Dwarves, Frostwings, Scalders and other combinations were no match for the Lava Elf/Undead (if I remember correctly).
A Standard 36pt. tournament Saturday night turned into a teaching tournament, due to a couple of new players and a couple of 'rusty ones' participating.

Overall, I think next year I need to have one table for demoing and finding new interested players, while maintaining a second table for "open play" and/or other casual events.
