Just a couple quick questions regarding this,

if a player has a blade golem, and gets flurry, rerolls, and gets flurry again, does he continue to reroll until he no longer rolls flurry?

additionally, does burning hands double all damage in a case like this, or only the initial 4 damage?

Any rerolling effect can cause itself on the reroll. so things like Dragons Tail, Rend, Flurry, Group Monster ID, etc. can reroll indefinitely.

Burning Hands works on NON-SAI melee results. i.e. an ID or a Melee icon. It would never function during a Flurry as that is an SAI.

However on a Group Monster ID, that is not an SAI, so I'd have to say that it affects the units entire melee result (just like a Bash would). So multiple ID's or an ID followed by a melee result.

Flurry continues to reroll as long as it comes up. However, Burning Hands, like all other spells, do not modify any results that come from SAIs (like Flurry). So a Burning Hands might double the final result if it's a normal melee icon, but will not modify any results from any Flurries.

So 2 simple rules:
  1. Any icon that causes a reroll during the current action will continue to be rerolled as long as it (or another rerolling icon) comes up.
  2. Spells do not modify any Special Action Icon (SAI) generated results.

Good to know that burning hands is only non-SAI.

I read the rules quickly just now as well, and realized also: burning hands can't be cast on an artifact anyways, so part 2 of my question is slightly moot. (magic items/artifacts aren't units, burning hands target units... i'll have to watch out for that next time.)

oh well, thanks for clearing that up.
