This is the army I am testing next weekend. I tend to play single-race armies split into two 18-point squads. Here's what I've got:
Squad 1
3x Eldar Dryad
1x Dryad
3x Hamadryad
1x Gold Medallion
Squad 2
2x Oak Lord
1x Lady Nereid
1x Noble Willow
2x Naiad
2x Willowling
Major Terrains
Home Terrain: Feyland City
Proposed Frontier: Feyland Grove
Summoning Pool
1x Highland Bridge
1x Highland Woods
1x Flatland Bridge
1x Swampland Bridge
1x Swampland Woods
1x Gold/Blue Hybrid Wyrm
1x Gold/Ivory Hybrid Wyrm
1x Green Dragonkin Champion
1x Green Dragonsteed
1x Green Dragonmount
3x Green Dragonfoal
I have one melee/maneuver army with Noble Willow to help it recover units if necessary. The dual-Smith powerhouse of Oak Lord is backed up with the threat of Counter from Lady Nereid. The second army brings Cantrips and magic to bear, with a Gold Medallion to recover units if necessary. They can also summon Dragonkin to help with maneuvers and saves.
I chose Feyland terrains since they still allow me to double Water magic, and I can bring in a Highland minor if I want to double Earth. It also means I avoid giving away racial abilities to Goblins and Swampstalkers at my home and possibly at the Frontier.
Finally, I chose the two dragons so that I can have the Gold/Blue to tie up an enemy dragon if necessary, and the Ivory hybrid to ensure the army is attacked if necessary.
What do you think? |

Are Treefolk your prefered race? In 4.0 I find them to be one of the underpowered races. second to Frostwing. _________________ Will
