DexCon is a large regional convention held in East Brunswick, NJ. This year it will run from July 12-16. Due to commitments on other weekends in July, I will probably only be there on Saturday. However, I have submitted three Dragon Dice events for that day: an Championship format tournament, Novice tournament, and a Single Race tournament. Anyone within driving distance of the con is invited to join us at these events. Prizes will be given. We had a nice showing at Dreamation in January, and hope to see a few more this summer. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

I'm in! With gas prices the way they are, it's nice to have a convention close by. Any way I can help out? _________________ "If toast lands butter side down and cats always land on their feet, what would happen if you strapped butter toast to the back of a cat and dropped it off a building?" |

OK, I've got the final listing for the events at Dexcon. All events will be on Saturday-sorry, I only have one day to do this.
9AM-1PM: Novice Tournament
2PM-6PM: Eastern Regional Championship. (It doesn't mean all that much, but since I'm on the board I can call my event that if I want to. )
8PM-12AM: Single Race
All events will follow SFR rules, including using the latest set of rules on the SFR web site. The Dexcon listing also has the army building restrictions. Prizes will b e awarded. (But I don't know if I can get a prize as interesting as the NJ Open.)
I'm in touch with a retailer who will be at the con about selling DD products there. I won't have a booth at this one, so I'm hoping we can have a dealer handle DD for us. If not, I may get a small assortment of dice to sell.
If you think you may be there, pop a note on this forum so I can get some idea. I'll be there with Robert and Jonathan. (No Battlefest, so no 60 Pelter armies this time!) _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

I will have a small selection of dice available for sale this weekend. I was hoping a vendor would be carrying them for me, but just in case I made sure I have a few starters and kickers available.
Anyone looking for rare dice, you might want Derek (Tinytode) to buy a kicker for you. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Just wanted to thank Steve, Derrick, Amanda, Robert and John for some fun games in the single-race tournament. Also, many thanks to Steve and Derrick for the freebies to help out my local playgroup. Robert, don't forget to take and post a picture of Pelter Voltron!
Steve, I posted a question for you on the army-construction rules over in the Rules section to make sure I remembered it right.
Take care,
Ray Daugherty |
