Hey, Everyone.
First, I want to apologize for being MIA for so long. There's no real explanation other than life getting in the way.
After the passing of my father back in September, it took only a short while for utter turmoil to overwhelm my family. My father's will was disputed by a sibling (who shall remain nameless), and the resulting bad feelings and resentment seemed to just amplify everyone's already fragile emotions.
My mother became seriously ill and had to be hospitalized several times, in large part due to complications from an accident 4 years ago, but also because the strain of seeing her four sons fighting was just too much.
When said sibling got just a little too argumentative, it actually got physical, and the authorities were called to intervene (thankfully no one arrested), but you can imagine the result.
As the only son who still resides in Colorado (the others in Hawai'i, California and Arizona), it fell on me to pretty much move back in with Mom and take care of her when the dust finally settled. With no internet access (or cable for that matter), I became a rather grumpy recluse until I was finally told to go home. Luckily my own family stood by and quietly supported me. My wife should be canonized (sainted).
There I discovered that my oldest son had decided that it was his duty in life to cruise adult websites and load my computer up with explicit garbage and so many viruses it eventually imploded (I have pictures).
Part of my inheritance was one of Dad's PCs, and it's now set up in my office and I'm cruising the internet and back to writing once again.
So, be prepared. Who knows what I might get up to now that things seems to be coming back into focus.
It's good to be back.

Hey, Joe, we're all happy to see you're back-except maybe for Chuck (and Chguck, for that matter).
Let the mayhem begin!

Not that Steve and Joe are overly concerned about numbers, but as of this post I'm at 3000 posts. Jim is a strong second at 2400. Deeghter has edged out Steve at 1911 vs 1894. Joe is a distant 8th.
Does this mean you guys need to post more? _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Yeah! Jim, with his incredible phantasy (creating great game ideas) and his talent for arts (posting graphics one after the other), posting like getting payed for it, is almost unbeatable!!!
NOT TO FORGET HIS GREAT WORK IN PROVIDING TABLES IN OUR ONLINE GAMES!!!!
JIM, DO YOU HAVE A LIFE???
Steve was busy with private stuff, but still .... I was in Africa for 13 months!!! That makes me think!!!
SHAME ON YOU, STEVE!!!
Well, on second thought: If you take a look at "once upon a forum", and compare the length of the posts to what other members post .... I guess that equals 1912!!!
As far as Joe goes: I think, if I remember right, he was sorta "amputated" in his posts quite a while ago!
Not that he wouldn't have deserved it, we all know he did, but that makes it a little unfair in ranking, doesn't it??
Well......
.....no, it doesn't!!!! _________________

Well, when I was still performing sports (athletics!)
(MANY, MANY YEARS AGO!!!)
we used to get certificates/medals up to 6th place!!!
Since you're at it, Chuck, who is on places 4 through 7???
(I'm too lazy to look it up, and as a frequent reader of "As the tower turns", I know that Chuck is the only one in the forum who has enough time at hand to list the members here (unless he watches the belly-dancing-Vampire-screensaver on his laptop, of course!!)

So I need to try to thaw them with a turbo....
So now I have to go get another barrel of kerosene..
should be expensive...
so I'll be driving my car with no muffler...
I have no water...
