I know better than to post when I'm like this.

If we end up killing eachother then Chuck wins by default by playing passively. In fact you could say he set a trap by moving a terrain up and leaving it there.

Does that make it my turn now? I'll pull out the dice and roll as soon as we take a break.

you play in a tournament long enough you get lucky. I'm bipolar when I play. I switch from being really brillant to being really stupid, sometimes its the same thing. like attacking a hidden army or using a magic army to throw missiles for 20 minutes or summoning a dragon against yourself.

I'm so smart I'm stupid, but so stupid I'm smart.

I have 4 kids between 11 and 2, so I know how it is. right now MissTiffany has the harder job there cause they are all with her.

I will be attempting to maneuver. I assume you will counter? (I will be able to roll within the hour)

Yes, I'll counter-manuever...

19 Maneuver - 3 Ash = 16 Maneuver
4 of 'em are Flys, so 12/2 = 6
6+4 = 10 Maneuvers!!!

3cantrip - no work on maneuver crap....

so 6 + 4 = 10 and then 4 rend.
so 10-3 = 7 /2 = 3 + 4 =7 so you out maneuvered me. so the terrain stays.

So melee attack.(just totals)

4magic
5maneuvers
8saves
2missile
8melee
12IDs (wow)

so 20 melee - 3 ashstorms = 17 damage

I'll wait for you to attack and resolve it after dinner (if I still have internet access from the hotel or I'll wait til tomorrow morning)

Ouch...

uhm, did you apply the ashstorms to your save roll or melee roll? I don't see it...

save against 15(or 12)... good job you monsters. first time all day I've been able to shake the dice good.

totals
4 melee
1maneuver

16 saves

22 total saves. So I saved all the damage even if I count the ashstorms and you did.

However if you didn't take the -3 off your save roll, you need to lose more health. (I'll accept the melee roll you had as long as you don't kill the smiter Wink)

I can't abandon my terrain or I give up the game. so I stay even though you will windwalk me to death

I need a ruling.

After I rolled my save roll but before posting it, raven noticed his error updated his post. killed another unit and then rolled again (the fact that it was a stronger roll doesn't matter).

what do we do? I have to redo my save roll after already doing it?

Sorry about that glitch.....I thought I caught it fast enough to not be a problem.....

I'd say, if you like it keep it, if you don't reroll it, but then the smite totals were different (first time 4, second time 12), even though the melee was less....(first time 15, second time 10).

I'd rather let someone more impartial decide, aka Brad or Jim or Chuck even


AH...wait I just noticed you'd already posted you saves.....I think the most fair would be to let me suffer from the mistake.....i.e. take my first roll with only a smiter (for 4 smites)....and you saved all the melee either way..... if someone doesn't like that, speak now....

I agree. I think I know what they will decide so I've already rerolled it. I can lose with or without that 8 health.

Even thought it was innocent, it still rankles to see something re-rolled for anyreason, specially when it turns out strong the 2nd time.

I have no problem with Raven noticing his error, removing the extra unit, and rerolling. I don't have a problem with Cliff taking his save roll as it is as well without rerolling. Just take it as was corrected. It would be much easier to avoid those kind of problems in person, with the forum, it can be difficult.

In other words, I'm cool with it. Cool

So it's my turn now right? I'd prefer to wait until the board got updated, a lot just went on.

well, I had to redo my roll cause I had to kill an extra 8 health.

I can easily summarize that turn. Cliff got his butt kicked.

Raven is holding one 8th face with a few units. He has a single unit at your home (6th face I believe) and bunch of units at my 7th face.

so your only real decision is how much magic do you think he can generate with those units and how many trees does it take to prevent him from getting my terrain as his 2nd.

ie prevent him from winning on his next turn and he'll probably fly away and let you have the flatland while he focuses on the swamp.

Roll for magic in reserves:

Pine Prince ID, Willow Lord ID, Oak ID, 2 magic from Hamadryad. Hmm... Eldar Dryad didn't get any magic. Sigh. But wait, I got a bunch of SAIs from the monsters, Choke, Sleep, ugly maneuver Rolling Eyes from the Satyr, and Teleport.

Teleport lets me move the Unicorn and 3 health to any terrain if rolled in any action. Doesn't say I have to start at a terrain. Twisted Evil

I move the Unicorn, Nymph, and Naiad to the Frontier.

10 magic, I guess I'll bring back my 3 health of dead, and let the one point go.

Second march:
Attempt to maneuver at the Frontier.

Trample, 3 Feet, Save. Total of 7.
