Nope, Cantrip does not work during any maneuver roll. So the Cantrip during your maneuver roll does not work. The Cantrip during your melee attack does work.

You may not want to cast Dust to Dust. For Goblins, Ashes to Ashes works better.....

5 Saves, doubled is 10, plus Watery Double is 11. Enough. [I know, technically it was the maneuvers that were doubled, then racialized to saves - same diff in the end, though Wink]

Herald - 3 Melee
Conjurer - 2 Melee

7 attacks back. Save and I'll update the board.

Ok, first Cantrip doens't work take your Guard back to your DUA.

I rolled 9 Saves:

Troll: 4 Saves
Death Mage: 2 Saves
Death Mage ID - 3 Saves.

Chuck: I found this one in the rules:

Normal (magic action or magic negation); Unique (non-magic action, save roll, or nonmaneuver
avoidance) During a magic action or magic negation roll, Cantrip generates magic results. During any non-magic
action, save roll or non-maneuver avoidance roll, Cantrip can be used to purchase spells that are
immediately resolved.

Is it already wrong? (I downloaded it 2009. 07. 23.)

Lets see if I can post faster than Chuck or Brad. Cantrip has always worked the same way, so nothing has changed recently.

Look at the three times it works and what you were doing.

Non-magic action - no you were rolling for a maneuver which is not an action.

Save roll - no you were rolling for a maneuver

Non-maneuver avoidance roll - no you were rolling a maneuver and it wasn't an avoidance roll

so none of the situations apply to your current roll, thus it has no effect.

Yeah, its not intuitive, but thats the way its written.

Just remember that the actions are missile,magic,melee.

Most every other roll is an avoidance of some type even if its called something special in common usage.

That's 20 Melee, and 4 Smite

I rolled a Cantrip again - Finger of death to your common at my home.

Strike the Leopard riders, not the trolls, and I will have a lof ot dead units Smile They have only one save face and the ID, while Trolls have 5 faces from ten that generates save result Smile
