I wonder why there are lots of players searching playing partners but no-one offers a forum game!
Well, here you can tell us why:
Oooops! There's one poll answer being left out (my mistake?):
It was: .....are a great idea but....(please leave a post) _________________

Well, I'm playing one, so I guess I think it's a good idea.
Actually, for those who have extensive FTF opportunities the forum games might be boring, and for those who have trust issues they might be too anxiety-inducing, but for those of us with limited opportunity to play (I have just my two boys as opponents) it opens up some new competition.
As far as time is concerned, it's easier to find a few minutes to answer a couple of forum posts than to block out a couple of hours for an AIM game (although I still plan to do that when I can).
As for being boring to read, well, I'll start taking care of that next turn... _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Is that supposed to be a fair warning??
Or did you mean to do what I already tried now and then: adding some more or less funny comments??
Well, as far as I know you, Steve, it's rather "more funny" than "less funny"!!! _________________

| The forum games actually helped to increase my understanding of the game. I read through the rules and then looked at the post by post of past games and followed along to see if I then better understood what was happening and why. |

GREAT!
That was one of the things I intended!!
I'm glad that it helped you a little. It helps me, too! I have hardly a chance to play enough at home to get to know all the different races, new dice and promos and so on...! By playing in the forum I can try everything and it doesn't bother me at all that everybody can read what I'm doing wrong.
To me the main thing is PLAYING and GETTING BETTER!! Second: Give other beginners in the forum the chance to follow and to play in the forum, too.
No matter if you are a beginner or a professional, if you need a player, here I am!!!
And lots of others, too!! _________________

Ok, I added (and voted for) ".....are a great idea but....(please leave a post)". Here's why...
This month at least I don't have time. I'm taking two weeks off this month (just got back from the first one). I'm also going to GenCon, and have to get everything ready for the SFR booth. But next month, I may not only play in one (or more), but also run some special games. More on that later... _________________ You can never have too many dice.

My collection is 21,500 Dragon Dice, 20,000 Daemon Dice, and others (too many to count). |

That makes me VERY curious, Chuck!!!
(I tried to shorten waiting time by tearing off the present calendar page, but it didn't work!!! !)
OK, I'll be patient!!! _________________

They are a great idea but...it's hard for me to remember to pack them. While it would be interesting to assemble armies on a plane especially during the turbulence and when we do those dives, the TSA seems to have it out for me already (a guy in KC with my name is on the 'Do Not Fly' list) and those dice will probably not make it out of Kansas City International. It just isn't the same when one uses a program. _________________ Will Moore

I think forum games....
are a great idea but.......
a multi-player game it is actually a better format,
because you don't feel obligated to make more than one move.
You get time to reflect.....
Mirror Draft Duel joke there hehehehe |

| I went with a GREAT IDEA BUT....because the minor draft will be my first one. I have read thru several to see how other people think and picked some some ideas I may not have come across with out reading them. |
