Ok, the votes are in, and the Player's Choice game will be: Everyone's Equal Loserfest. So now I need some help making up an army for everyone to use. Since the armies involved will all come from dice SFR has laying around, Shocked it can't be composed of rare dice, or lots of the same die. So I'm going to ask for all of you to post armies that are just terrible normally, but it this case may be alright since everyone will have the same. Here's what we have laying around, roughly in order of most to least:

Feral
Treefolk
Firewalkers
first 4 races (Coral Elf, Dwarf, Goblin, Lava Elf)

I'd like to make it kinda like single race, but you are not limited to a single race. In other words, no more than 3 of the exact same common, 2 of the same uncommon, 1 of the same rare, and 1 of the same monster.

This is a 24 health army right? I'm in the airport right now, but I'll post a pretty blah army tonight.

loserfest is not just about the dice you use, but how many and what terrains you bring as well.

Right now I'm thinking about a CE/LE army stuck at the flatlands. Just enough magic to waste health, but not enough to do anything useful and more manuever than anything else (they will drop like flies due to having NO non-ID saves.

I just realized that I owe you an army for losers. I will assume since it is 24 health that magestorm is restricted (otherwise I would just play commons carrying artifacts, loose 5 health with every FoD you cast)

1 Gold Drake
2 Flatland Temples (works for burial, but no black to defend against)

3-Scout
2-Spy
3-Spider Rider
1-Warlock

3-Horseman
3-Guard
2-Courier
1-Conjurer

I wanted to post this army idea as well since we have the dice for it.

Just to make it interesting...

Red Drake

Coastland standingstones
Highland standingstones

6 UtterCraps

They are promos, but not a highly sough after one.

I want clarity on this event. So its really just 'everyones equal' but you all have crappy armies?

Yes, I or you will setup the armies ahead of time, with "crappy" dice. Then everyone has the same army, and plays to win (I hate the idea of playing to lose, too darn easy with Dragon Dice).

I had another potential idea.

24 health / 4 = 6 = 3+2+1

So a rare, uncommon, common of each of the four races.

Coral Elf = Missile
Dwarf = Magic
Lava Elf = Melee
Goblin = Maneuver

they get an ivory dragon so it'll be easier to summon.

Since they have all four races, they get 4 terrains and have to pick two to use each round (so it allows some customization on how to use the 12 dice they get, maybe they focus on highlands, maybe the focus on coastlands.

Highland Tower
Flatland City
Coastland Temple
Swampland Standing Stones

(I hate the idea of playing to lose, too darn easy with Dragon Dice™)

Actually, I would think that playing to lose would end up with a no terrains captured, sit back probably on a melee face with no one else there and don't move until time runs out. Booooring.

The original Loserfest idea was for players to play other people's armies, and the worst army would "win" by losing. But each player would have incentive to win.

I think this will be a fun setup to play, as long as players are playing to win.

That was my point. If the army is equal then its just an everyones equal event. its not realy loserfest. So lets just call it everyones equal and be done.

But you are wrong, the trick in trying to lose is to get your own units killed so that means summoning a dragon on yourself. You will time out, but you have to have more dead than your oppoent when you do timeout.

Cliff has a point....
how can you call it loserfest?

So I have a solution....

each army will secretly be marked to a player...
then these markers will be randomly given to each player...
so now you have a marked army...

true if your marker happenes to be the army you are playing with...
then sure try to lose...
but chances are...you are playing someone else's army.

So if you try to lose...you will be helping someone else.

Also...new army markers could be drawn every round...

A simple way to mix the two themes...

each player brings a loser army...
and then each player plays a game with every army...

so Everyone's Equal..
and then there can still be a losing army.

Note that I stated that I would make the final descision on the format of Player's Choice if needed. It was needed. So the format is:

Everyone gets the same army. The army will be constructed by SFR staff (i.e. Cliff or myself). The army will be made of dice that are normally considered "losers". However, everyone will be playing to win.

End of Story..... Rolling Eyes
