I don't understand the advantage of using replanting.
If i compare it with the ability's from other races, like the Undead or Swampies, it seems relative week

Suppose you suffer a major calamity in which most of your mages are killed. Without them, you have little chance of bringing back dead units. By using replanting, you can exchange you remaining units for mages, then perform a magic attempt to bring back your dead units.

There are certainly other advantages (like exchanging heavy infantry for cavalry before attempting an 8th face capture), but that's the first one that springs to mind.

They have several racial abilities unlike the first races that only have one. While Replanting is relatively weak, double counter-maneuvers is a strong ability.

That's right.
But why have the Swamp Stalkers two such horrible strong ability's?

It's also a matter of the icons on the dice themselves and their racial spells. Firewalkers have horrible icons distribution, so they have great spells, and a couple of great racial abilities.

Did we get all the races perfectly balanced compared to one another? Maybe not, but we did much better than before. 5 years ago, all the winning armies were basically the same, Swampstalkers and Goblins mages and cavalry in various combinations. Now if you go to a Dragon Dice tournament, you are likely to see just about anything.

Not too long ago, someone posted that Feral were horribly weak and unplayable. However, no one in the Windy City Bone Rollers will ever tell anyone that. They have seen me win time after time with my Feral. My point is that any race can be played and played well if you know the tricks and how to do it.

Ok, now i understand.
And you call it horrible, but i like the Firewalkers Jack in all trade design.
The last time i played DD (back in 1997), i enjoined really playing them, paired with they're Air fly, they can be everywhere, and may every time do a few damage.
And have i thanked you for giving them the flaming shield? Very Happy
