No. We cannot afford to attend both Origins and GenCon. Since the cost of attending is about the same, but Origins has about half the attendance of GenCon, we are at GenCon. I'd love to have events at Origins, but we almost never seem to have anyone interested in going and running events. I simply don't have the time. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

| I understand how that works! Maybe in a few years we can get Nationals going again there... |

Actually, we have a National tournament now. It's held in conjunction with Double Exposure and their national gaming circuit, but the champion is recognized by SFR. This year it will be run at DexCon 11, July 16-20 in East Brunswick, NJ.
BTW, I met the originator of underwater Dragon Dice this year at Dreamation. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but I hope he might be at DexCon as well. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Well, don't say we won't have a booth in 2009. All we have to do is sell about 3000-4000 more starters by this fall, and we'll be able to have a booth at a number of shows including Origins.... _________________ You can never have too many dice.

I'd be up for helping run stuff at a future Origins, but wouldn't mind having some experience under my belt first. It's been a few years since I played (too many to mention), and I've only just gotten re-interested in the game. Getting stuff started locally and at another gaming location on the south side of Indy is my immediate goal(s).
Ddicerc - that's interesting, I may give it a look, although it is abit far away (I already attend some gaming stuff in Vegas, etc). |
