Hey BOD,
We up here in the NW have several Game conventions going on that warrant a visit from at least 1 of you guys (especially if your interested in gaining stockholders). As a company shouldn't you be sending out a representative (or supporting an existing one...Ghostman or dproman to name a few) to these events to make sure your name is out there and visible? I'd really like to see this game take off, and I am plan on running a couple of game sessions myself at "gamestorm.org", but it would sure be nice to have some company backing in the way of prizes (contact your reps:Ghostman and dproman) or a visit from the BOD.Lets really devote ourselves to advancing Dragon Dice to the status it deserves gentlemen!

Well at the moment, we don't have anyone on the BoD that's on the west coast. But if we have any reps that want to run something, then contact Steve or me, and we'll help you out. Of course, you could also become a rep. Just send Steve a message.... _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Hello All,
My question is, do we want a Retail presence, Demo presence or both?
If it is both, I will need some instruction on how to set things up with the convention organizers and aquiring product. As far as demoing is concerned, I think Steve has got me pretty well set up with flyers/handouts.
We (eggsaladsandwich, Ghostman, and myself) plan on demoing DD as much as possible during this event. We're looking forward to the opportunity to tell our communities that "DD is alive and very well, so come on out and roll those bones!"
Thank you for your time (and support),

First choice would be to get a local retailer that will be at the convention to sell Dragon Dice at the Con. Problem with getting a booth is cost, and then someone has to be there all day. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Chuck,
How did I know that you were going to say that. (probably, because you suggested it to me once before on another post ). That is why I have already contacted my local retailer, but he has yet to commit. Either way, with or without retail support, (I hope I speak for the entire SBRG) we will as you so elequently put it "demo the hell out of the game".
Since Gamestorm this year is just across town (5 miles from my location), I plan on being there as much as possible, demoing and handing out DD flyers (the "Steve" sanctioned ones of course ).
I really hope we have a positive impact in our area.
We'll keep ya posted.
Thank You for your time,

Hello All,
Just wanted to let you all know that we had (in my opinion) an excellent weekend at this year Con!! It was my first year (and first-time ever) demoing Dragon Dice. The response was overwhelming to me. I ran over 10 sucessful demos. (Great and many Thanks to Steve for all of the advice and help!!!) We had great retailer support from Guardian Games in Portland! We dfinitely added a new player to our group with 3 more highly possibles. This was my first step towards hosting a major demo/tourament, stirring up interest. I think there will be enough. We had a lot of people stop and look, so they know that Dragon Dice is alive and well!
Just couldn't wait to tell you all the good news!
Thank You for time (and support),

Many thanks to Dave for running all those demos at Gamestorm. You put in a lot of time ,effort and , most important, enthusiasm. If this game had gotten half the push nationally as you did locally, it would have rivaled MTGs success. As an observer of many of the Dragon Dice demos at Gamestorm and a participant of a few, I can tell you Dragon Dice stirred up quite a bit more interest then Dave lets on.I hope the BoD sees fit to reward Dave for his "above and beyond" support of this great game.Roll on all! _________________ "Another days useless energy spent." I'd be the 'definately'. I'd never played this game before, but by the time I left there, I had nearly one hundred dice, and have been buying rapidly since. I'm sitting next to a recently-purchased (as in today) Scalder pack, and am looking forward to trying out Dave's introduction set at Norwescon in Seattle starting later today. (Happy Birthday to Me! I get to spend my birthday [today] teaching people the enjoyment of this game. Yay!) |
