Dragon Dice - HomeFront
--------------------------
In the ever raging battle for Es'fah, everyone gets to hear the glory and praise for the mighty swordsmen, the mystic magicians, and the deadly archers. That however is only the visible face of the engagement, the conflict runs much deeper. What good is a swordsman, without the seamstress that keeps him from fighting naked? How effective is a magician without the magical scrolls created for him by the scholars. How long would an archer last, without a mason to create a battlement to protect him? Remove the foundation support of any army and it will fall...
Thus comes the next phase in the battle for Es'fah: Dragon Dice - HomeFront!
--------------------------
Alex, Brad and Chuck are deep in battle. Let us listen into their game, already in progress...
"Die Dwarf and Elf Scum!" Alex screams!
"Yo dude, calm down." Brad chastises.
Alex replies, "Sorry, I mean my Goblin Mason's are attacking both of you"
Chuck corrects, "Of course they attack both of us, this is a brawl, there are no turns or alliances, everyone just attacks everyone else on every turn. We all hate each other."
"OH! Ouch!", Alex winces, "My Goblin Mason just beaned your Dwarf Seamstress in the head, killing her."
Brad counters, "Yeah, but my Elf Scholar catches the thrown stone with his scroll and flings it back at him like a sling."
"My seamstress might not be able to stop the ranged attack of your mason, but she can cut right through Brad's scroll and pierce his Elf through the heart!" Chuck gloats.
Alex taunts, "Yeah, too bad you can't cut stone quite as easily."
... and thus the bloody battle rages on until only one is left standing. With the support systems destroying each other, the main army's will soon fall as well.
--------------------------
Since these are simpler people, rather than trained warriors, the rules and mechanics are simpler as well.
Choose your race, Choose your units, and battle!
Each race of Es'Fah has the same 3 basic unit types and all units count as a single health value.
The recommended army size is 12 health, but feel free to buy enough to play 1,000 health armies. Really, we don't mind.
The turns sequence consists of a single action, the brawl. All armies roll to attack. Each unit in the army will produce one of three types of icons: Stone, Scroll, Unnamed Sewing Implement (USI).
To resolve the brawl, divide your units to determine how many of each result type you generated. Using the table below, compare your result type to the total result type of all your opponents. For every result which is defeated by another generated result, that unit dies and is removed from the game.
Scroll destroys Stone
Stone smashes Unnamed Sewing Implement (USI)
Unnamed Sewing Implement (USI) slashes Scroll
This is best described via the example below:
Alex is playing three Goblin Masons and two SwampStalker Seamstresses. He rolls and generates one Stone, one Scroll, and three USI.
Brad is playing four LavaElf Scholars and one Scalder Mason. He rolls and generates two Stones and three Scrolls.
Chuck is playing two Dwarf Seamstresses, one Feral Mason and two Feral Scholars. He rolls and generates two Stones, one Scroll and two USIs.
Each player uses these results to make the following comparisions. All deaths happen at the same time.
Alex generated one Stone, he now looks for Scrolls generated by his opponents. There were 4 Scrolls generated, so the unit which generated the Stone is killed.
Alex compares his one Scroll to the two USIs generated by Chuck, thus that unit dies as well.
Alex compares his three USI's to the four Stones generated by his opponents.
Poor Alex, all his units were killed.
Brad compares his as well: two Stones vs two Scrolls and three Scrolls vs five USI's. All his units are destroyed as well.
Chuck compares to find that: two Stones vs four scrolls, one Scroll vs five USI's and two USI's vs three stones. kills all his units as well.
In this very bloody brawl, all participants have died.
A very FUN and short game!
--------------------------
The details of the unit's are as follows:
Seamstress - USI, USI, USI, Scroll, Scroll, Stone
Mason - Stone, Stone, Stone, USI, USI, Scroll
Scholar - Scroll, Scroll, Scroll, Stone, Stone, USI
--------------------------
Order now and receive a special promotional unit, the Peasant! A jack of all trades, he has yet to choose a profession, but wants to join the battle anyway!
Peasant - Stone, Stone, Scroll, Scroll, USI, USI
--------------------------
