Because of the very warm weather (or perhaps because of the delirium side-effect?) I thought it would be a great idea to make teams of coral elves, sit in the backyard pool with my friend, and commence wickedly aquatic pirate battles!

And you know what? The dice are very satisfying to roll in the water. Smile Just throw 'em in and watch them gingerly sink to rest at the bottom.

Yes, the hard part is reaching out to the dice w/o making them roll over.

Perhaps some underwater footage.....

without an underwater camera...then film a fish tank from the outside.

I wonder if Dragon Dice would work in some sort of Lava lamp...
or one of those bubble towers...
just for fun anyways. Very Happy

The trick would be finding a lava lamp with a good color scheme to match the dice.. I tend to see a lot of purple/red ones. Confused

I think it would be killer to see a Lava Elf lamp Twisted Evil 1 of each common floating around amongst bits of black and red, with alternating black/red lighting!

I said so back around 2001 and I repeat:

PIRATE DICE.

In my personal, over inflated opinion, NOTHING would be cooler than pirate dice (not bootlegs, a new race of buccaneers).

No, I don't have any real ideas other than a pirate theme and some jolly-roger symbol, probably for magic.

I WILL brainstorm if given half an excuse, tho.

I CAN'T be the only one who thinks pirate dice would rule.

What say ye, buckos?

I agree. Pirates would be freaking awesome, what kind of suggested color scheme for magic?

One of the "adaptive races" we built years ago using the Monday Night Fights concepts was a race of Vikings, and we used "piratey" names for the units. We just took Dwarves. made them green/blue instead of red/gold, gave them new reflavored monsters (I think we used the Coral Giant, Roc, Tako, and Swamp Beast as Sea Serpent, all made blue/green), and the racial ability of doubling maneuvers on a Coastland. They were a lot of fun to play.

Haha, I know! It's been too long, and I'm tired of feeling like I'm in the middle of Frostwing territory Very Happy

I agree, Mr. Fung, a pirate race sounds absolutely awesome! But I was always under the impression that the coral elves already were the pirate race? I mean, they have the cutlasses, the ships, and the colors.. I mean, they might not be big burly bearded vikings, but as far as a fantasy twist, it suits me just fine! I especially like them because they're a creative race without blatantly ripping off another idea. Yup, Coral Elves are the race for me when I'm feeling piratey Cool Now, if only there were a ninja race..
