OK, this poll isn't entirely serious (is anything Joe or I do entirely serious), but since the big cheeses of SFR won't be attending Origins, we thought it would be fun to ask.

Just to clarify-we're not suggesting Joe and I take over running events from Mike D. (who probably has forgotten more about running games than Joe and I know), just serving as SFR's ambassadors to the Origins crowd.

More along the lines of a Ferengi ambassador to the Klingons.

as much as i hate to admit it, steve and joe do seem to be the best people to represent the game. their posts are humorous, (if not pointless Mr. Green ) and they both apparently have a deep love of the game. Confused

Representation would be great (official or not). Anyone promoting the game at such a huge con could only be a good thing.

Is anyone planning on bringing dice for sale/trade?

Hmmm...let's see: I'll have on my T-shirt Thursday, and the boys will have theirs, so that's three...each with a CW button, that's three more...my CW cap (they do let you wear hats inside the convention center, right?) for another...and the CW bumper sticker on my B&D dice carrier. Looks like I'll have 8 on Thursday-that may be more CW logos than SFR/DD logos present.

Okay, so Jake and I will have shirts and buttons, and hopefully the stickers for my cases will arrive before we leave. I just don't have the $ for a cap just yet, and I already spent my birthday money. Embarassed

I suppose I could just get an old blank shirt and start drawing stuff....

Hey, there's an idea. I could have my artist buddy do a picture of Chguck getting beaten with the Spoon on the back of my jean jacket. Maybe add a caption of, "You should always spoon your spouse," or something.

I'd wear that with pride. Twisted Evil

Now that's a new concept-wonder if we could get official "Once Upon a Forum" merchandise for sale on CafePress?

I was thinking more along the lines of a T-shirt saying, "These Boots were made for finding the Chosen One".

Oh, come on, ya gotta have a Spoon on something! If not the thong, how about the clock with a Spoon for one of the hands, or a pair of them, or..... anything with the Spoon!

Wonder if CafePress offers any kind of Spoon for sale...imagine a spoon with a picture of Chguck on it (maybe surrounded by a target).

Yeah, maybe one of those giant kitchen spoons with Goblin art on it. My wife would hate it, but man, that would be cool. Twisted Evil

Now, what to do with the big fork...?

Not to give away what I've got planned for the 1st and 2nd place awards for the event winners, but let's say there is a wearable component to the awards which will help advertise DD as well.

The only bad thing is I can't bring many dice to trade, not enough room in the van, my wife has this thing about riding on the roof Mr. Green !

I am bringing enough to run demos though.

Later,

Mike, if you show up to run an event wearing the aforementioned thong and cowboy boots, I will... I won't... I... okay, besides insane laughter and stifling the gag reflex, I don't know what I'll do. Shocked

Here is my offical plea to all DDers attending Origins. PLEASE do not announce or otherwise show that you are wearing the DD thong. I just don't want to know. Rolling Eyes
