I have an extra Blue Dragonmaster that I just acquired. I am looking for a Red Dragonmaster. These are both valued at 100 points on Chuck's page. I would be willing to swap my Blue for a Red one, if anyone would like to make that trade. Contact me using the link below if you are interested. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Do you mean one that is actually blue, or purple? Because I don't have a blue one.....I have more "purples" than reds already, so can't help you with the trade. But I am curious why the two are equal in trading points? I thought the Blue was much more common, since a lot of what were intended to be reds came out purple, and have been designated as "blue." So shouldn't the red be worth a little more, relatively? |

| I've had 25x more 'Blues' than Reds. I don't think I've ever sold a Red DM, since I only ever found 2 of them, but I wouldn't sell one of mine for $25 (100 points). Now, I did say 'Blues', which are purple and not actually blue. Chuck has a very nice blue blue, but I've never had one that wasn't slightly purple. On the sickly pink end, I've sold them for as little as $10, while those nearer to blue have gone for $25-$35. So, in my opinion (and in practice) the value of the 'blue' really depends on the quality of its 'blueness'. I would place the value of a nice red red and that of a very blue blue close to $50. But I don't have any reds to trade. |

No, this is a "purple" blue DM. I think if ever found a "blue" blue one it wouldn't leave my collection. However, Chuck will have to chime in on the value question; I just went by what was on his page. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

The danger of using my trading points system is that the trading points are set by their value to me. Until a week or two ago I had an equal number of extra red and blue Dragonmasters, one. So that changed their value. I suppose now that I only have a blue and no red extras I could change my trading points. But I learned something from Bruce Parrello, who was the first person to really have a large trading system going. That is, that if you constantly change your trading points based on demand, you're going to confuse everybody. So I only change my points when either something big happens (like a new kicker comes out), or about twice a year. Take for example Frostwings. Right now they are the only race that has all the commons set above 1, and all the uncommons set above 4. When SFR ran out of Frostwings, and before the reprints came out, everyone came to me for Frostwings, so they started becoming more valuable. Swampstalkers are starting to go up for the same reason. But now with Frostwing reprints out, the demand for Frostwings has gone down.
So if you are trading dice, use my trade points as a guide, not as gospel. Your mileage will vary. |

If no one wants to trade a red DM, but someone has an extra King they'd like to part with for a blue (purple version) DM, contact me. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

OK, I still have that blue (purple) DM sitting here on my shelf. I'll listen to offers for it. Go ahead and e-mail me your trade proposal. I'm not promising to accept anything, but you never know what kind of a mood I'll be in when yours hits my inbox... _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

No, that was Jen's '87 Nissan Pulsar. I wish someone would torch it so I could claim the insurance and get a new TV. _________________ The Maj
