Thought i would post this here since its off topic!

Quarriors

A friend of mine in NY showed me this game and says it has alot of appeal in his store. http://wizkidsgames.com/quarriors/. I was thinking perhaps Dragon Dice may need a fresher look? (Ok so probably not totally off topic)

I reviewed that game before it came out.

The big difference is that they have dice, but they are generic. Their variance is all in their monster deck.

I understand why they took that approach and its a good solution for them that avoids some of the issues that dragondice has, however it also limits them somewhat too from things that we can do and they can't.

I wish all companies all the luck, but time tells the true story. Let's talk to them again when they celebrate their 15th anniversary. Very few games get to do that.

Oh agree with you there. I like having more options with my dice than with cards and dice. I guess i was just looking at the packaging and such Id like to see an updated look to dragon dice's starter boxes and the like.

ah the packaging? yes it is nice and eye catching, but also very expensive. I don't have to lookup what it would cost to know that you wouldn't appreciate the increased cost in a starter to cover it.

There are a lot of dice in that Quarriors starter that justify the high cost. I don't think that packaging makes sense for Dragon Dice but I do agree that there are better options than what is currently being used.

its a lot of dice that are easily produced. thats the biggest difference and what they think we do wrong. per unit our dice cost more, which means less profit for the same cost.
its just a business model, but dragon dice is dragon dice and you can't change it that radically now.

Sure I can get you samples if i can get her to finish some art haha. However we are usually so busy with her costume making business but I will talk to her about it. She supports me in this game how ever she just ordered me new dice this past Thursday lol.

Yes i did see the cards I didn't realize that was new art. Cool though Very Happy

There is another artist though that i know but i haven't approached him about the idea he did an awesome painting of the war of 1812 with Dragon riders I will have to ask him if i can post it here I think folks here will like it.
