[Dark Knightmare]

I was inspired by Die(ter)'s topic of dragon dice games over the forum and thought of playing dragon dice over an IM or e-mail. And this topic would be where players can set up games and challenge others. Hope this isn't off topic or anything.

We've been playing via AIM in the CWC for a number of years. There are two issues for IM play:

1) Time: An IM game takes longer than a FTF game. You need to find a time to sit down and play the games.

2) Trust: Until a good DD dice rolling program is available, you have to trust the people you're playing with. This isn't an issue for the CWC regulars, because for every monster roll one of us has gotten we've gotten we've also seen the anti-monster rolls. (True, I had my legendary 43 melee Feral roll, but I also once lost a game by rolling ZERO maneuvers with cavalry trying to stop an 8th face capture!) It can be done with one non-player doing proxy rolls, but that takes even longer-and it really isn't necessary unless you are playing in an online tournament (of which I think there has been exactly one so far).

If you overcome these, IM play is a lot of fun, and lets you get opponents where you might not otherwise have any.
