I welcome Matthias Maccabeus for a new game!

The board still needs a bit of re-colouring after I get some sleep, but I thought I'd post the new board already. My army isn't the most brutal thing I can imagine, but I realized that I still needed to prepare for the only tournament I might visit in the near future, which is the one in Germany. It has a single race requirement, so I'll stick to that for the coming few games. My army only uses dice I actually have, so its a bit less 'clean' than my usual creations. Still, I think it should be decent enough to have some fun with!

1st March - Horde - maneuver the terrain up to 4.

2nd March - Campaign - maneuver terrain up 5.

Question is the retreat phase "simultaneous"? Can I move my phoenixs to my Horde before my Horde retreats so that the medallion can stay with the phoenixs?

Either way for reserves I'll move the phoenixs to your home, retreat all Frostwing Monsters. Trolls stay (and hopefully so does the medallion).

I had to look this one up and still I'm not completely sure. I think this part gives an answer:

The example seems to be the most helpful part, as there seems to be the suggestion that individual parts move in order rather than simultaneous. However I don't get the impression that the wording is conclusive on the matter. It doesn't matter much to me though, so I'm fine with the medallion being carried by the phoenix.

If you look closely at this, you see that Terrain Flight takes place during the second half of the Reserve Movement, the Retreat Step. So the Phoenix can move and carry a Medallion with it to another terrain. Since the movement is "unit by unit", you can in theory move just a unit at a time. There is nothing that says that Terrain Flight only allows one hop. With this setup of all blue terrains, the Phoenix can move any number of times. Each time it can carry a different magic item if wanted. So the Phoenix (or any other Firewalker) could move magic items around, and then units could move to reserves.

The rules are bit loose here, but I don't see that it really causes any problems.

@ Chuck: thanks for the answer. It wasn't as much a problem for me as much as it was simply vague. Better to be cautious than do things wrong. Moving items around like you describe with terrain flight is pretty nifty. So Matthias could've had them drop the medallion off with the trolls. Neat.
