(1) How do I tell if it is an SFR ormyrr or a TSR ormyrr?
(2) Which is better?
(3) Is it rare enough to auction or am I better off doing point-for-point trading as shown on Chuck's pages?

I am asking question three because I am more of an army builder than I am a collector and there are races where I just cannot build an army at all.

If there is stuff on Chucks site you want, I would suggest going the trade route. However, the Ormyrr (whatever the version) is a highly desired di so you may find a better deal among this sites followers. Ebay should be a last resort as the market for Dragon dice is so small comparitively. Just my own 2 cents as a long tome collector/trader/buyer/seller...take it as you will..

a TSR swampstalker will be a very pale color and a SFR swampstalker will be very dark and glossy

Here's another hint. if you pulled it out of a starter, its an SFR.

The last TSR kicker of swampstalker's was... four years ago? five?

As it turns out, all of my swampstalkers including the ormyrr are TSR dice. My girlfriend got hers at Gencon last year and they are much darker and glossier.

I was not considering ebaying the die. I want to use it to build my army-creation capabilities.

I am a little bewildered by my options, I need so many things. I have no frostwings or scalders and only a kicker or two of feral and undead.
