Excuse the slew of these threads. I saw the Swamp Stalker one and it got me thinking. But Firewalkers, and how best to use them?
I cannot see anything better than a flat land standing stones. This gives firewalkers bury, a defensive skill (Which they badly need) they maintain their racial ability and can still double blue for the windwalks. Tack on the almighty path and its a killer combo.
Also, the Pheonix and Daybringers are 50% saves.
The only real problem is that, with the basic terrains, any one with the blue element only has 1 magic face. So I suppose putting a castle for the frontier is good, but they have a hard time getting to magic. _________________ Will

Why not a wasteland? It allows to double both magic colors. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

Perhaps this will shed some light on why not:

That's my guess as to why you'd want a Flatland. |

Doubling red is not that big a deal, imo. Dancing lights is easy to pull off. Unless your strat is a ton of ashstorms or burning hands, its not a big deal I would think. Though, those are both viable strats. But for just general purposes I tend to use the flatland standing stone for those reasons. _________________ Will

The Flatland is best when you are playing standing Stones. But if you are playing mellee, wasteland Temple or Castle are great.
Terrain Flight plus really much mellee Icons plus doublimg both collors if needed is a Big Hit. _________________ All gone |

Prior to wasteland I used flatland standing stones. Currently I believe wasteland temple is the best. First there is the obvious of doubleing magic, which one would use any access to just lightning bolt any large die your opponent has. Then there is the not so obvious, no race other than Firewalkers have a terrain advantage on wasteland. _________________ Raven's Hollow |
