Anybody run across this non-collectible dice game yet? It's quick and fun; reminds me very slightly of Chaos Progenitus.

Just looked at it.

Its a very simple concept and one I've seen in several card games and one I've used myself in the design of several unpublished dice and card games.

I'm not a fan of stickered dice, but I understand why they did it. (costs)

It is the type of quick brainless (what I'm begining to call a drinking game, not in that you drink during it, but that you play it after drinking). its not as bad as some. Atleast its interactive with another player.

Honestly, its the type of game I would like for SFR to branch out into, but the capital needs to stay in our core product line for now. and I'm worried that by the time we CAN make such a game, the market will be flooded by these copy cat clones and we will go unnoticed.

Personally, I'd like to do something like Demon Dice. A simple two player game like this one, but with a small amount of customization availble to you.

and I know kickstart is out there, but we are still researching if it even applys to us.

Well seems to be a good conclusion haha since Warcraft had its Sci fi variant Star craft. And War hammer has warhammer 40k . Some gamers like the genre of Scifi over Fantasy Razz

. I personally like fantasy however i could definatly get into a sci fi dice battle game

Is SFRs only product dragon dice or they have other dice games?

DragonDice is the only product line, but it contains multiple releases of both additional races and expansions to the core game.

We are branching out into a dice based board game and have plans for an RPG as well. Those are both being prototyped at Gencon this year.

Yes, DragonDice is a collectible dice game. The oldest one still in production. However, it is not collectible like most card games are.

Each 'set' or race that we publish usually has about 20 dice and not 100. and the 'usual rare' is about 1 in 10 packs or less. (there are a very few exceptions that were done prior to SFR owning the game)

The boardgame is called Campaigns and isn't in production yet. but its a tilebased game that a lot of people compare to risk. It uses the same dice, but can be either a stand alone or customized game. Each die is a unit and you move forces through out the tiles to try to control all of them.

The role playing game is called Quests and is still in quite a bit of flux, however it is also planned to use the same core dice to represent your character. each die represents some attribute or skill or experience.

So if we did do a Sci fi Dragon dice like game. Would we be fighting over planets. And perhaps the Units could be ships? Been thinking about this a bit. Or would the units be ground forces transported on a planet to fight with others.
