Is it possible to create a forum (or even better, a place on the SFR web site) where official clarifications, interpretations, and rule changes could be posted? I know the ideal is to keep the advanced rules totally current, and Chuck has done an admirable job of that. But instead of having to print out 70+ pages every time something is added or clarified, having the relatively small number of official rulings in one place would be a boon for players, and especially good for anyone running an official tournament.

(On the very plus side, I play a CCG which has an official rulings and clarifications guide that is over 300 pages long! Of course, there's a lot fo repetition, but I think the few questions asked here show that the rules in general are pretty clear.)

I rather think it would be too complicated to have rules changes placed in a different data file. It's nicer to have them in one single file, but they could be marked in a different color or with a bar in front of the changed parts for easy and fast recognition.
If you want to have the changes printed out you can either mark the changed text and save it as note, word document or else; print single pages of the document if you have Adobe Reader installed or make a screenshot of that page. Then you have the papers flying around at different places at home but for the other users all the rules are at one place!
As a beginner (which I still am) I already have to switch between several files/papers like booklets and DCM for icon pictures, advanced rules, Races special rules etc...! I wouldn't like to have another listing to look at for rules changes and then compare to the advanced rules to see what has changed (see what I mean?), then look up the affected icon (e.g.), then jump to the races' rules etc....

But that's just my personal view of that....

But a separate file just listing the changes with date of each change would be helpful! Check the list and jump into the advanced rules file to see what has been changed.

I think what Steve is asking for is a "errata" forum that has official rule changes and clarifications. That could be done, just not soon.

That's right. If changes are made in the rules, or if an official clarification or ruling is made, it can be incorporated into the rules document, but it would be nice to have them on a separate page, too. I don't see a critical need at present, but as the tournament season commences there may be clarifications that need to be made, and this would be a way to do it.
