| Really stupid question my friends and I were arguing about, when my opponents undead army casts haunt, his dua attacks an army on the battlefield, but it says any of the units killed during haunt are buried. So when a haunt happens he haunt attacks me with melee and I roll for saves, but does my melee or missile results also inflict damage on the haunting army and thus the dead undead army has to bury any units that take damage from the defending army and they are instantly buried, but if they are undead then they get to resist burial? |

| Haunt is a standard melee action. So, first the haunting army makes a melee attack and the defender rolls for saves. If the defender wishes, the defender can make a melee counter-attack. The haunting army would then roll for saves, and anything killed goes to the BUA (Undead units may use their racial ability to try to avoid burial of course). After all that is done, any units remaining in the haunting army go back to the DUA. |
