DD Inventory 2.7 is released today!
Download links:
Windows
Macintosh
Linux
Updating is easy! Just uninstall the version on your computer and install the newest version. All of your data and settings will remain intact.
The Linux version require GTK+ 2.8 or above, glibc-2.4 (or higher), libstdc++.so.6
The Macintosh version runs on any Intel-based Macintosh running 10.6 or later.
The Windows version runs on XP (SP2 or later), Vista, 7, and 8.
Release notes:
[New] Added Leviathan and Lurker in the Deep to Dragon Dice inventory.
[New] Added a BBCode screen for Daemon Dice games.
[New] Added Nightmare to BBCode boards and Dice Roller. Of course since the Nightmare does not exist yet, the IMG tags are from the Centaur, Chimera, etc.
[New] Added Coral Elf kicker, Lava Elf kicker, and Daemon Dice starter to misc inventory.
[Change] Macintosh build is now a Cocoa app.
[Change] Partial transition from Chaos Progenitus to Daemon Dice (name changes and such).
[Change] BBCode boards - when moving dice from one banner to another, the dice are now tranfered in the same order that they appeared in the original banner instead of being put in reverse order.
[Fix] BBCode boards - minor terrains set to double saves/maneuvers will now generate an IMG tag.
[Fix] Various other changes and bug fixes. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

I am the only person who would know (since I wrote it).
I do not have an ETA for a new version. Actually I don't think I've done anything with it since the last release.
You can always add the nightmare yourself with the customize option (View > Inventory Manager > Customize). |

Hi, sorry, another question!
i have just moved from a windows 7 laptop to a windows 8.1 laptop. i backed up my DDInventory data from the windows 7 machine and restored it on the windows 8.1 machine. It worked at first but when i go to open the program now i get the following error, any clues? don't really want to have to manually transfer my dice quantaties across!
"An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down." |

For some reason that backup/restore option keeps having problems no matter what I do. Though it is possible that the file got corrupted somehow (I've seen that happen but have no idea how).
What you could do is go into your Win7 laptop and extract the database file yourself and transfer it to the new laptop. You should find it under C/Users/username/AppData/Roaming/DD Inventory/
The file is YourInfo.rsd (should be the only one in that folder).
Delete the YourInfo file on the Win8 machine and put in the copy from the Win7 machine. |

Both of those tips worked perfectly. I now have DDinventory running with my old data on windows 8 with the Nightmare added!
thanks for the great support. |

| I haven't changed anything from the last version released. Unless someone finds a bug or there is some new content that someone has an idea for, there really isn't anything for me to do with it. |

The Nightmare is missing, and the entries for the Leviathan and Lurker are... Buggy? I show a blank row beneath each of those entries. And not all of the columns are filled out for them either. Race and class are both blank for both dice. Cannibal and Behemoth are fine.
When I try to go to "Customize", the application crashes.
Also, could we get the three Lava Elf misprints added with the Goblin misprints?
Thanks!

| I also see the crash when I try to customise (running v2.7 on MacOS). |

Since the only person that has source code to this is piMaster, and we haven't seen him around for some time, this may be a dead end for this. _________________ You can never have too many dice.
