At pax east this year I got the chance to play a game of Dragon Dice with my girlfriend. We both liked the game a lot but didn't get the chance to buy any at the time. I have since looked around my area and haven't been able to find any retailers that sell any at all, (most were surprised it still existed).
So does anyone know of any places in and around mass that sells dragon dice sets? a beginner is fine and ill probably pick up a few boosters as well. preferably Boston or any places north of the city. I will buy online if there is no places that sell just would rather pick them up in a store.
Thanks |

I believe Pandemonium does, but they might be currently out of stock.
As for them not knowing. Yes that is a problem, I don't know how to combat it. Our new products are listed in the magazines they order stock from, so we put it in front of them, we can't force them to read it. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

Pandemonium in Central Square has some Starter Sets on order, that should be arriving shortly! If these sell reasonably quickly, then they will stock more deeply with Kickers. Please come buy Starter Sets ^,^
They will also take orders for anything (which will also encourage the store to stock deeper...). I already have my pre-order in with them for the new Amazon Kickers. The contact link is on the website.

There's also a couple of us playing there during open boardgaming nights Wed & Sun 6-11pm. I'm there most every Wednesday (but that night will be shifting over to all-Magic tournament sometime around the end of May alas), and Sundays when I'm not out of town for the weekend. We've begun recruiting new players!
Also, send me a PM if you would like to arrange some playtime — I'm in Malden. |

I think a Kickstarter for the upcoming new Starters would raise a much higher visibility all around for players and stores and be a great entry point for new players and drawing back old ones. |

Thanks for the advice, I went down there a bit to early to get an sets as they hadn't come in yet. Sadly it is a bit to out of the way to keep heading down so I ended up getting some off amazon. Love the game so far and i'm planning on getting a few more kickers.
Random question as well, not sure if it applies here. I printed the play mats off the website to help start up playing. Does anyone know if they have "better" ones? like a laminated one for sale or anything? otherwise ill end up having to resize the ones I have and laminate them myself.
Thanks a lot! |

There is currently not a cost effective way for us to produce and sell playmats. i.e. it would cost so much to produce that either we lose money on each one we sell or they cost so much you wouldn't want them. (which is why we give away the PDF files).
Long term, you can easily play w/o a playmat. They are just meant to be learning aides. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

Sorry you beat the stock in to Pandemonium. Starters and some kickers came in last week. And have also been selling (yay!), so stocks are low. You can always call ahead to see what's on hand and ask them to hold it.
I did my own more affordable and easily portable playmats that print out on legal-sized paper (.50 a sheet at the Staples self-serve machine) and the fit in a small home laminator. http://goblinhall.com/2014/04/26/dragon-dice-playmats/ _________________ Gaming blog, with Dragon Dice stuff: Goblinhall |

| Thanks for the tip. I may make another trip down there one day soon, it's just convincing myself to stop being lazy and go down there. Also convincing myself dealing with the traffic would be worth it. I'm trying to convince TableTop Arena in Lowell to stock some. |

Can you come on an evening when we're playing? Wednesday & Sunday open boardgaming 6-11.
Technically open boardgaming on Wednesdays has been cancelled for the summer to make more room for Magic. But so far, more Magic players haven't been showing up, they're still only taking up half the room. So boardgamers are still meeting and playing — but we have a keyholder with us so we can redeploy to the MIT gaming club room if we have to.
Or if you can't make those times, but want to arrange some other time, we could try to coordinate. My schedule is pretty flexible. It's usually not too hard to find a spot to squeeze in a small game! _________________ Gaming blog, with Dragon Dice stuff: Goblinhall |
